GREAT Location near the tropical forest preserves and the Sarapiqui River, right near the Best Chocolate Farm, where we also took a night hike, and just down the road from Aventuras del Sarapiqui (excellent whitewater rafting). It's a private house off the main road and I was worried about dogs barking as mentioned in some other reviews, but it was not a problem at all. It's a split level with two separate sleeping spaces, king bed in upstairs room and queen bed in the downstairs room, each having their own bathroom with showers. The main kitchen/dining area was great for preparing easy meals: rice and beans for dinners and fried egg sandwiches for breakfast. And best of all is our host, Maria who has been SO accommodating and friendly. We just message each other through WhatsApp (I use Google Translate to convert from her Spanish to my English). It's not a luxury hotel but instead a very artistically decorated two bedroom apartment and I highly recommend.

The holiday home provides rooms with air conditioning, free private parking and free WiFi. We loved the views from the property and the size of the house is great. Very reasonable price for the house and a great location with lots to do within driving distance. We loved the waterfalls and the gardens.

Featuring a garden, Eco Guest House - Sarapiquí 1 is situated in Sarapiquí, within 35 km of La Paz Waterfall Gardens and 38 km of Catarata Tesoro Escondido. It is located 33 km from La Paz Waterfall and features private check-in and check-out. The guest house also provides free WiFi, free private parking and facilities for disabled guests. This "Guest House" is huge. A family of 4+ could easily move in here and live comfortably. The back decks are beautiful to just sit and watch the jungle. It is a little way down the road from the city, which means it is quiet and very laid back. I had both a breakfast and a dinner while at the guest house. Both were great portions with a lot of variety, tasty, and well worth the money. Unfortunately, my schedule and Wendy's schedule didn't align for her bird tour. There was lots of flora and fauna to explore. My personal sightings included Toucans and a Morpha butterfly. I'm willing to bet that there was a lot I missed that Wendy could have found and shared!

Situated in Heredia, 10 km from Juan Santamaria International Airport, Finca Rosa Blanca Coffee Farm and Inn features accommodation with a farm to table restaurant, spring-fed hillside infinity swimming pool, This was the most pleasant and unique places I ever stayed at. The hosts were gracious and kind, and the grounds were beautiful! If we return and need a place to say in the San Jose area this will be at the top of the list!

Poas National Park is 14 km from the accommodation, while La Paz Waterfall Gardens is 7.2 km from the property. Juan Santamaría International Airport is 30 km away. This felt like a very special place. Everyone has their own cabin with fire place should you need to warm up. There’s a long walk you can do through the jungle from the hotel which was really nice. The staff were really helpful when it came to getting taxis around, but a lot easier here to have a car.

Middle of the rainforest sits their cute little wood cabin. There is not glass only mesh windows which is nice but a bit loud in the night with animals and rain. The washroom is clean with warm water shower that requires a bit of tinkering to get. Wendy and her family was so nice to us even though we only stayed a day. The location is near the Tirimbina reserve so we stayed here for the night walk. Cute dog too! Hummingbirds were right outside the cabin feasting on flowers.

The location is incredible, in the middle of the tree. The owner spent the evening talking to us and was very warm. The hotel is huge and the work done to build it is incredible - it truly is a piece of art.
