The balcony looking over the street was also huge. The restaurant was awesome and Bun made THE best gado-gado in the world. As a bonus my bicycle was also allowed to sleep upstairs.

Boasting a private beach area and views of mountain, Ruma Kaca Simanindo Bed&Breakfast is a recently renovated bed and breakfast set in Ambarita, 2.3 km from Batu Hoda Beach. Ruma Kaca was a real surprise! We were warmly welcomed by Tiolina (owner) and accompanied to our room and she explained everything. The room and the whole property are very lovingly decorated. The room is located in a former colonial house and has a great view of the lake. It's like staying in a living museum. The food (dinner and breakfast) was also delicious and very good. As there is also a café in Ruma Kaca, the coffee was wonderful. In her free time, Tiolina sat down at her sewing machine and sewed beautiful hair bands. Tiolina took us to Paromanang the next day and we visited the local market with her. Unfortunately, we didn't have any more time as we had to continue travelling.

She also runs a restaurant downstairs from the apartment (no noise at all) and you really do not want to go anywhere else for breakfast. Delicious, also for lunch and dinner.
