This recently renovated bed and breakfast is located 21 km from Clonalis House and 26 km from Roscommon Museum. The accommodation features luggage storage space and bicycle parking for guests. The hosts, Tommy and Pam, were very helpful, informative and convivial. The room and bathroom wonderful, exceptional decor and attention to detail. The breakfast - also excellent. Nothing was too much trouble.

It was great to get to know them during our short stay; they are so wholesome and feel like long-lost family! They were very accommodating on check-in time and helped escort us to our destination when our transportation fell through. The rooms are spacious and boast scenic views of the countryside. They made us a wonderful breakfast before our day's journey. We only wish we had more time with them! We certainly hope to be back again one day. Thank you for everything Maureen and Ronald! P.S. Each accommodation at the 3-star bed and breakfast has quiet street views, and guests can enjoy access to a garden and to a shared lounge. The bed and breakfast has family rooms. Doris and Kevin were the perfect hosts, beautiful home and the breakfast was fabulous, great nights sleep. Rooms bigger than you would expect and to be woken by birdsong was an added extra. The local pubs were about a mile or so down the road with a harbour if you fancy a walk.Athlone town only 10 minutes away if you fancy a more lively night out taxis available. All in all a great find and most definitely would recommend and hope to revisit in the near future.
