The Sherpa family are amazing, and the staff at the hotel go out of their way to make your stay memorable. Nima organised a local driver for 3 days who took us to markets, local sight seeing and all the way back to namchi/pelling. Our Gangtok trip wouldn’t have been so amazing/easy without their help. They even lent us jackets for Tsmogo Lake. Aunty’s cooking was so delicious that we ate at the home stay every night. Coming from Australia, we were a bit bewildered with how far apart towns and cities are and they explained and recommended how to do Sikkim after Gangtok. The view from the home stay is incredible, so glad we chose here at the top of the Gangtok hills for the views

Hygiene maintenance was spot on. Additionally, they have this wonderful travel cafe with lovely ambiance and great food. All together we enjoyed our stay.

The units in the hotel are equipped with a flat-screen TV. With a private bathroom, certain units at The Di-Lac Retreat also feature a mountain view. All rooms at the accommodation are fitted with a seating area. Alisa and her small team at Di-Lac made our stay just perfect. Delicious breakfasts and dinners were served with helpful hints and tips for our visit to the area. She kindly organised taxis and excursions for us which we were so grateful for. Thank you so much! The hotel itself is a few kilometres above Gangtok. We stayed in one of the rooms with a balcony which I thoroughly recommend. Waking up to a fantastic view where the clouds kissed the mountains below really shouldn’t be missed. If you want to be surrounded by the hustle and bustle of MG Marg don’t stay here but if you want peace and quiet, fabulous views and the beautiful sound of birdsong, look no further.

My children also enjoyed the place and the staff here were soft spoken and child friendly too. The food was also good be it paneer tikka or dal fry. Their signature dish was really good.

The room was very spacious, spotless, and peaceful. The property is calm, surrounded by greenery, and close to Banjakhri Falls. It truly felt like home.

I had an excellent stay at this homestay in Gangtok. The room was spotless, comfortable, and well-maintained throughout my visit. The staff were genuinely helpful and easy to communicate with, which made the experience smooth and welcoming. Complimentary snacks and essentials were a thoughtful addition and much appreciated. The food stood out the most - flavorful, fresh, and far better than what most homestays offer. Overall, a stay that exceeded expectations, and I would happily return.
