This small family-owned ryokan in Chichibu is a gem. We enjoyed a comfortable room experience, pleasant views, and a sumptuous breakfast. Make sure you book the breakfast when you book your room—it’s well made, delicious, and served with true elegance. The owner, Mr. Maekawa, was very gracious in making us feel comfortable and setting dinner reservations around town. There are many things to do in Chichibu and it’s only about a 10 minute walk to the Seibu-Chichibu Station, so although it is situated near a forest it’s not remote at all.

The host was super friendly, always happy to chat and answer questions about history and tradition and helped me find my way around Kawagoe, showed me all the must see spots, bars and restaurants. There’s also a little garden in the back and the bar area seems to be the local hang out spot in the evening which is super cool.

Situé dans la ville de Kawaguchi, le Wallaby House propose des chambres spacieuses et spacieuses avec une cuisine entièrement équipée, un réfrigérateur, un four micro-ondes, un lave-linge et une salle... The staff were very friendly and helpful. Asked for extra pillows and new towels which they obliged.

We had a wonderful time staying at this lovely home with my family. The house is immaculately clean, well-organized, and incredibly cozy, making it the perfect place to relax after a day of sightseeing. The owner has thought of everything—providing numerous amenities and essentials in case you forget anything while traveling, which was so thoughtful and convenient. The location is ideal, situated right at the heart of the Kawagoe attractions. It’s just a short 5-minute walk to everything you’ll want to see, yet it remains peaceful and quiet, offering the perfect balance of convenience and tranquility. We highly recommend this home and can’t wait to return!

Hôte d'une extrême gentillesse et très réactif. Absolument impeccable jusqu'au moindre détail, plein de petites attentions et tous les équipements. Très bien placé à quelques minutes de la gare et parfait pour visiter la ville. Un grand merci !

L’établissement IN THE LIBRARY hotel and books TOKOROZAWA - Opening in 15th July 2025 se trouve à Tokorozawa, à respectivement 11 km et 11 km de ces lieux d’intérêt : Mukodai Park et JGSDF Public... Facility was nice and clean. The staff was helfull and accomodating. The free drinks (coffee, juice, teac) all the was nice.

Situé à Kawagoe, l’hébergement 海雲 Kaiun Kawagoe リトル京都の和み宿 met à votre disposition une connexion Wi-Fi gratuite et offre une vue sur le jardin. It’s a great place to stay for a few days. Though I didn’t find many comments here, it is actually a really nice house. It’s a traditional Japanese house of the modern-era, and a good place for foreigners to experience the local stay.
