We were blown away by the hospitality of Eldos and his family. They were very accommodating. They have a cute farmhouse on the main road running through Saty, and this self-contained unit is in their backyard. The place was clean and can easily sleep four people. We were served delicious and filling breakfast every morning. The kitchen is well-stocked, and the bathroom is modern and neat (with a waterfall shower!). There is hot water, central heating, and an air conditioner. Eldos can also drive you to Kolsay Lakes, Kaindy Lake, Charyn Canyon, and even drop you off at Almaty, all for a very reasonable price. Though Eldos doesn't speak English, we used Google Translate with him with no issues. You can easily reach him through WhatsApp. We highly recommend his place!

The serene landscape and charming village make it the perfect spot to relax, recharge, and connect with nature. From the moment I arrived, the family welcomed me with open arms and genuine kindness. Their warmth and hospitality are truly exceptional — from the very first step into the house until the moment I left, I felt cared for and at home. They treat their guests like family, and their thoughtful protocols ensured a safe and comfortable visit. The homemade meals at Kausar House were unforgettable. Every breakfast and dinner was prepared with love and care, bursting with authentic flavors that made each bite a delight. It’s clear that food is a labor of love here, and I felt so fortunate to enjoy such delicious, heartfelt cooking. What truly made my stay special was the family’s incredible support. They went out of their way to help me plan visits to the nearby lakes, sharing invaluable tips and making sure I had the best experience possible. A special mention to little Kausar — her kindness, helpfulness, and bright spirit added so much joy to my visit. I also loved the chance to meet their friendly dogs and sheep, which added to the authentic countryside experience and made my short stay even more memorable. Although I was only there for two days, it felt like a home away from home, and I’m already looking forward to returning and staying longer next time. Kausar House is not just a place to stay — it’s a heartfelt experience filled with warmth, beauty, and genuine human connection. I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful retreat with incredible hospitality in a stunning natural setting.

Really helpful ladies at reception and also nice sauna attached to the hotel

Stayed at COZYREST near Kolsay and Kaindy Lakes and honestly loved it. The place really lives up to the name, super cozy, warm, and feels like you’re staying in someone’s comfy cabin rather than a random rental. We came in late autumn (basically almost winter) and it was still really warm inside, which was such a relief after being out exploring all day. The owner was super friendly and helpful. We rented a car and had no issues with parking. Location-wise, it’s perfect for visiting Kolsay and Kaindy. You can drive to Kaindy yourself but the road is pretty rocky and rough, so I’d actually recommend using their ride service. It’s not expensive and definitely less stressful than trying to take your own car up there. Breakfast is included and served at whatever time you agree on, and you can order other meals too which is super convenient when you just wanna stay in. Also tried the Russian banya, definitely recommend it. Just tell them ahead so they can prep it. Overall, really cozy spot, super homey vibes, perfect base for exploring the lakes. I’d definitely stay here again, totally recommend it.

It was the most unique location around the area. The view and the surrounding was amazing I like the concept of living area kitchen and washroom down stairs n room upstairs.

The owner and staff are very friendly, helpful and hospitable. Invited us to share dinner which was lovely. The tent and bedding was clean, warm and very comfortable. It is a pleasant and quiet natural environment on the property. Overall a really nice experience.

The place is exceptional, the farm, the people, the view! Highly recommended to stay there!
