We had a wonderful stay and can wholeheartedly recommend Nature House. The rooms and the entire property are very well-maintained, everything is clean, and you feel at home right away. The owner is incredibly friendly and helpful. You can also book safaris to the national park directly on-site; we did the 4-hour safari and had an amazing experience. Half-board is definitely worth it—the breakfast is excellent, and the dinner was also very delicious and plentiful.

Everything was amazing. The room was big and modern and the hospitality was above and beyond. The best breakfast we’ve had in Sri Lanka and an extra plus was the swimming pool. We booked the safari through them as well which made the process so easy. 100% recommend.

Leels safari cottage, a pocket of paradise. we spontaneously booked our stay here for 2 nights in hopes to do a safari. We’ve been travelling Sri Lanka for over a month now and I can say this has been the nicest place we have stayed at. The pictures are exactly like the place which we were so pleased about, the room its self is beautiful, comfortable beds, beautiful layout and decoration with the blessing of air con and a fan. They also supply mosquito nets, this was the first place we weren’t bitten once! As for the bathroom it’s wonderful, full of plants with an rainforest vibe. It’s all so clean and well stocked with a kettle, wardrobe, shelf’s and great mirrors. The attention to detail is amazing you can tell a lot of love and hard work has been put into this place. The lighting is lovely giving it a cosy feel. We had breakfast included and added on dinner for both nights as the food was too good! Cooked by the loveliest ladies who do everything they can to make sure you’re happy. So much selection for both breakfast and dinner really yummy and enjoyable. It’s the perfect place to relax but also seek adventure. We woke up early one morning to go for a run, the area is lovely everybody smiles and says hello. and the views are really beautiful with thriving nature. We went to an elephant orphanage near by, luckily they know people for transport etc and Leel suggested this activity for us, we didn’t know about this place prior our visit! But so glad we went it was amazing! Our second day was Safari day, we were delighted that Leel himself is one of the greatest safari tour drivers, so we set off early in the morning and embarked on our safari around Udawalawe. I know it will be one of my favourite memories we are really grateful for Leel and his dedication to make sure we had the best time and see as many beautiful animals as possible! Beautiful property, rooms are very clean and spacious with your own private balcony and big outdoor area and hammocks to use. The staff were incredible, very friendly and kind and amazing customer service. The food was amazing and the safaris they offered were very easy and enjoyable.

I have been travelling through Sri Lanka for 3 weeks now. This place is, hands down, the best I have stayed at. The location is excellent and so are the facilities. The rooms are bright, spacious and very clean. Everything (such as faucets, air conditioning, etc) is not only in good working order but also of good quality. It's a new hotel with an inviting pool, what is there more to wish for... Well, as great as this place is, its biggest asset is the manager. He understands the importance of personalized service! A big thank you to him and all his staff for making me feel so welcome.

We have been here for three night to relax and enjoy a Safari in the park. The hotel is perfect and the owners are very genourous and welcomed us with fresh coconuts and cold drinks. They were quick on seling us a safari tour but we were there for that. Moreover the trip was very worth it, the guide/driver was super konwledgeble and patient. If you have some time and money to spare I recomend the 6 hours trip. Even in the middle of the day you will be able to see animals, maybe even elephant bathing to refresh from the heat. And you wont be in a rush as there will be plenty of time to enjoy your encounters. The trip comes with too delicious meals that you will enjoy at the hotel. I defenetly recommand this place everything is perfect and the rates are faire.
