Die Unterkunft lohnt sich auf jeden Fall, nur schon wegen der Herzlichkeit der Gastgeber. Sie tun wirklich alles, damit man sich wohl fühlt und helfen bei jeder Frage weiter. Das Essen ist sehr gut und wirklich sehr sehr viel. Wir haben nach den ersten Erfahrungen nur noch 1-2 Portionen für 4 (inkl. 2 Kinder) bestellt. Wasserflaschen, Kaffee und Tee kann man jederzeit nachbestellen. Die Unterkunft befindet sich gleich neben dem NP- Eingang, man kann also pünktlich um 6.00 Uhr die Safari starten. Wir haben die Safari mit dem Sohn gemacht, diese war fantastisch, wir haben sehr viele Tiere gesehen, er kennt sich gut aus und hat ein sehr gutes Auge.

Our stay at Ceylon Resort Wilpattu was very pleasant ant enjoyable. Roshan, his wife and staff took care of us in a very personal and professional way. The safari was handled excellent. The food was incredible and the whole place felt like home to us.

We left for our safari early so sadly did not get to try breakfast, but were very satisfied by the room, and appreciated the warm reception/ extra care the staff gave to our family! While there was no common space (think motel style rooms that spit out onto a outside porch) we were only there one night and it suited our needs well. The safari company was able to pick us up from this location so all worked well.

Es war alles wundervoll! Ausgezeichnete Vorab-Kommunikation: meine Fragen wurden präzise und vollständig beantwortet, was ich auf Sri Lanka so noch nicht erlebt habe. Der Besitzer Anta spricht perfekt Englisch. Zudem ist er mit Herzblut bei der Sache. Er hat sich für das entschieden, was er liebt, nämlich Wildlife und Natur. Die Safaris werden auf die Kundenwünsche abgestimmt, was vielen anderen Anbietern nicht gelingt. Die Warmherzigkeit und Sensibilität des Besitzers prägen die gesamte Atmosphäre. Hervorragende Matratzen, die auf Sri Lanka eine Seltenheit sind. Gäste werden von Anfang bis Ende liebevoll umsorgt. Bei der Ankunft bei strömendem Regen stand ein Engel mit Regenschirm bereit, bei der Rückkehr von der Safari wird einem ein frisches Tuch gereicht, Wasser kann man sich in Glasflaschen (!) auffüllen lassen, einfach top. Besonders danke ich Anta dafür, dass er mich bei den richtigen Einstellungen meiner neuen Kamera unterstützt hat. Ich hoffe, dass ich irgendwann wieder im Wilpattu Hideaway sein darf. Danke an Anta und sein Team! Diese Welt braucht mehr Menschen wie dich!

We had the best time staying at Wild Wadi Wilpattu. The property is located about 5 - 10 minutes from the Wilpattu park entrance which not only means you can easily book a safari but you also experience some incredible wild life just steps outside your door. We cannot praise the staff enough. Everyone we spoke with was so nice and so accommodating. It’s very clear that the folks at Wild Wadi are very passionate about animals, the environment and sharing all of their knowledge with their guests. We had breakfast and dinner at Wild Wadi each night. We had traditional Sri Lankan meals and it was some of the best food we had so far on our trip. We would highly recommend booking at Wild Wadi if you are visiting Wilpattu - such an incredible experience! We will be back!

We loved the lodges, made 70% of natural product also by the owner himself with photographs taken in national parks which added to the whole safari vibe. The couple were fantastic, offering free walking safari upon arrival and seeing at our door with tray of tea and biscuits after long day on safari. Offering wake up calls (also with tea and biscuits) and fantastic breakfast and lunch on safari and also homemade Sri Lanka dishes for dinner each evening. Food was so tasty and they really put so much effort in to make it special and check that we were happy and had eaten enough. The lodge is clean, has everything you need (very effective air co) and cool bathroom with net at top to look out at nature and surroundings! They also arranged everything in terms of safari trip to Wilpattu and we got to see sloth bears and a lot more! Really loved our stay here. 100% recommend!
