Hotel River Front was a little piece of paradise for the 2 nights we stayed here (with my husband and 5 year old). The entire property is immaculately clean - from the gardens to the rooms and bathrooms - it was spotless. Room and bathroom was large, good hot water in shower, good air-conditioning, lovely balcony overlooking garden wirh river at the bottom. Pool was fabulous and great to relax around after a safari. We ate dinner at the hotel on both nights. Food was really delicious and good choice. Breakfast was included in the package and was very good (fresh pancakes, fruit, toast, eggs, sausage, etc...). On the morning of our safari they packaged a breakfast up for us which was appreciated. Hotel organised a private safari for us. Channa was our guide and was brilliant. So knowledgeable and went out of his way to ensure we had a great day. We saw loads of animals including leopards and the scenery was stunning. A special thanks to all the staff who made our stay so special- they all do a fabulous job and made us so very welcome. If we are back in the area we would definitely stay here again.

Das Yakaduru Yala liegt in der Pufferzone des Yala-Nationalparks. Sie wohnen nur 5 Minuten vom Eingang zum Yala-Nationalpark entfernt. It was a magnificent experience not only because we saw so much nature and wild animals at a close range but because the staff were the best. Nishantha took us to see a local woman who was so poor yet she used whatever means she had to look after 22 orphaned puppies whose mother had been killed. The level of poverty was astounding. The staff help her to survive. Without them there would be certain death. If you can spare some money please give it to him and he will pass it on. A truly humbling and touching experience that jolts you to the core. Special mention to our mates at Yala who made our stay so memorable Sajith, Kasun, Nishantha and our safari driver Amile. Thanks guys, you are the best!

Die Unterkunft ist sehr schön und hat ein wirklich top Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Die Zimmer waren geräumig und das Frühstück sehr lecker und grosszügig. Die Gastgeber sind sehr herzlich und geben sich alle Mühe, den Aufenthalt unvergesslich zu machen. Die Safari Tour hat uns super gefallen, wir würden sie jederzeit wieder über La Safari Inn buchen.

We had a truly lovely stay! The room was cozy, the food was delicious, and the pool was exactly what we needed to relax. But the highlight was definitely our amazing host – so kind, helpful and always smiling. He really made us feel at home, and went above and beyond with every little request. We’ll always remember his warm energy – thank you so much! Highly recommended to anyone looking for a welcoming and comfortable place to stay.

One of the hidden gems of Sri Lanka! This beautiful hotel is set around a serene lake, with stunning views from the room overlooking water lilies, palm trees, and grazing buffalo. The rooms are stylishly decorated, spacious, and impeccably clean. The breakfast is fantastic, with something for everyone. Madu, the manager, is incredibly approachable and goes above and beyond to make everything possible. A truly amazing stay!

Great accommodation in Tissa! The rooms are spacious and clean, and have a balcony with a beautiful view to rice fields. The pool is really nice. Great value for money. The owners helped organize the full day safari. Really great tour (we saw 2 leopards) with a guide that doesn’t follow the crowds and truly explores the park. The location is not super close to centre but they have bicycles we can use (just a 20min bike ride)

The host was wonderful! She welcomed us with tea and fresh pineapple juice, and even offered us a free tour of the lake, where we got to see a variety of animals. She also organized an amazing safari for us — many thanks to her friend, the driver, who gave us a truly wow experience! Highly recommended!

We had the best stay at Black Panther! Nalin is the kindest person ever and so helpful with everything! He took us around and spotted some super nice birds. He was really knowledgeable and gave us a lot of information about them. He also helped with organizing a safari to Yala where we had a great time :) Also the rest of the family is so nice and the dinner we had was absolutely delicious, one of the best we had so far! The rooms are further really spacious and clean, felt really comfortable! We will definitely come back!

Tolle Glamping Erfahrung. Die Zelte haben alles was man braucht. Man ist draußen in der Natur nicht weit weg vom Yala Nationalpark. Nach der Buchung direkt viele Infos bekommen und immer mit den Inhabern in Kontakt. Das Abendessen war sehr üppig und lecker.

Best homestay I’ve stayed in during my 3 months of SE Asia travel. Location was ideal, activities were unbelievable, and the most hospitable hosts imaginable. I will be telling all of my fellow travelers to stay here for a long time to come. Make sure to book their safari. We were lucky enough to have a leopard walk 10ft in front of us and watch a baby elephant and its mom. Although, it still would have been beautiful without seeing any animals. The host mother made us the best curry spread we will probably ever eat for as long as we live.
