To begin with, I would say that my family and I have formed a special connection with this place, and it will always remain a wonderful memory for me. The entire resort is lush and beautifully surrounded by nature. We had the opportunity to see creatures that you don’t encounter in everyday surroundings. There was so much to explore, such as the local island where you can see how people live, stunning sandy beaches, coral reefs, and more. The food was delicious with a wide variety to choose from. What I liked the most was the staff — they were incredibly positive, kind, and it was a real pleasure to interact with them. Transportation was never an issue, as buggies were available 24/7, and you also have the option to borrow a bicycle. There were daily activities scheduled for guests as well. Nettes kleines Schwimmbad - nichts für einen längeren Aufenthalt oder den klassischen Strandurlaub aber top als City-Hotel auf einer Einheimischen-Insel.

Den Komfort kann man auch genießen, wenn man möchte. Da an das Wave Sound direkt ein Restaurant angeschlossen ist, erfüllt diese Kombination jeden erdenklichen Wunsch. Man kann auf der Liege seinen Drink genießen, der vom Kellner gebracht wird, kann zu Abend essen und wer möchte auch zu Mittag. Das Schwimmen im Meer ist auch direkt erreichbar. Perfekt.

I loved how they communicated the ease of traveling to Addu City. Before this trip, I never realized how accessible it was, as Male is so heavily promoted as the main gateway to the Maldives. Traveling from Almaty to Addu via Colombo to Gan International Airport was seamless. They were very clear about the three weekly flights from Sri Lanka to Gan, helping us plan our trip for the best value and duration. Honestly, the trip felt too short because the welcome to the island was so warm. They even gave us a quick introduction to the island, making us appreciate just how authentic this city is. Be warned—this review is full of realizations! Addu City is like a hidden gem, not heavily touched by mass tourism. Not many tourists roaming around the island, but we've seen tourists who are staying in the resorts in the city visiting on local tour every day in the noon. Before Sri Lankan Airlines started direct flights to Gan, and with the previously high cost of flights from Male to Gan, Addu wasn’t really on the tourist map. But now, they’re truly focusing on tourism with many guesthouses opening up. We researched and discovered that Meedhoo offers a relaxed tropical beach vibe, while the other connected islands, including the capital Hithadhoo, have more of a city feel with shopping and fine dining options. EVERYONE WHO LOVES TO EXPLORE A NEW MALDIVES HOLIDAY WITHOUT TOO MANY TOURISTS ROAMING AROUND THE ISLAND SHOULD COME HERE. THAT'S A FACT!! Meedhoo feels like another local tourist island, and we stayed at Charming Lodge. It was a fantastic choice! They offered free bikes, snorkeling equipment, and other activities arranged directly through them. The rooms were very luxurious yet affordable, with tropical touches like wooden interiors, clean and white bathrooms, and cozy seating areas. And a centered playground, They had a great balance of comfort and style, perfect for a peaceful getaway.
