Die Unterkunft La Sirenita - Ometepe, die in Altagracia, 6,2 km von Vulkan Maderas entfernt gelegen ist, verfügt über Übernachtungsmöglichkeiten mit einem Garten, einem Privatparkplatz, einer Terrasse... Thé location was amazing, the water was calm, no wind like the other side of the island. The farm animals were a great perk . The owner and staff were so welcoming. The sunset with volcano views, near the entrance to the river for kayaking. Beside a happening bar. Mango beach is great too. The toilets and showers were very clean. A magical paradise. The hut was perfectly cute right on the water front.

Die Unterkunft Rancho Tranquillo, die in Moyogalpa gelegen ist, bietet Übernachtungsmöglichkeiten direkt am Strand, 34 km von Vulkan Maderas entfernt. I had the best time with Tony and Daniela, they were very kind, welcoming and warm. They make you feel part of their family and have so many stories to tell. Daniela makes THE BEST breakfasts (I miss them). If I go back to Ometepe I'm definitely staying with them again. The room was nice and clean and at night you can hear a symphony of crickets and other elements of nature due to being away from the city. A really nice experience. Also, there's a beach right outside the hostel where you can see the most beautiful sunsets. It's a bit far from the center of the town (a 20 min walk) which is not too bad, just something to take into consideration. If you're renting a bike like most people do it's not going to make a difference for you, but I was on foot. Fortunately, Tony was very kind and picked me up on a motorbike at the port and took me back at the end of my stay.

Die in Balgue gelegene Unterkunft El Bamboo Cabins bietet kostenloses WLAN, einen Garten mit einer Terrasse sowie Seeblick. Che was an amazing host with lots of local recommendations and helped us book a scooter, ATV and gave us recommendations for horseback riding. This is an incredibly unique and beautiful cabin that Che built himself as a labour of love for his original home on Ometepe Island. We felt incredibly lucky to have stumbled on this absolute gem of a place to stay in one of the most special places in the world.

The place is very confortable and there is a lot of space (in the rooms and in the kitchen). José will give you all the advice you need to discover Ometepe, and you’ll have a great time ! Super equiped kitchen, large and clean rooms, nice and welcoming common areas. Would definitely stay here again ! BUT : beware of mosquitos and don’t forget your repellant. And wifi is indeed not that great in the rooms.

I wonderful place to land on the island! The staff are particularly amazing - super helpful and get back you by WhatsApp quickly, and with any information you need - even on their day off! The actual house is breezy, clean and the deck is the perfect place to sit and relax with a drink (the beds are comfy and the linen is nice too). The location is on the other side of the island so you would probably need an ATV or scooter - we didn't do this as we had our 5 year old with us - we walked. But they can organise that for you. We loved the books (especially the kids books!), the grounds to run and play with our son, the dogs that hang out and the overall homey feel of place. Having David (sorry if that's spelt wrong!) helping us, made our stay easy, safe, and made us feel at ease. Thank you!

Mit das beste Essen was wir in nicaragua gegessen haben. Absolute Empfehlung!
