Set in Bhurkīā, Bardia Eco Friendly Homestay provides accommodation with seating area. There is an in-house restaurant, plus free private parking and free WiFi are available. Boasting family rooms, this property also provides guests with an outdoor fireplace. Shortly after booking a room Shardul reached out to us and provided us with travel information. Once in Nepal our plans changed and Shardul was very helpful in picking us up and accommodating us an extra night. Upon arrival we immediately felt very welcomed and comfortable at this lovely homestay! Everyday Shardul and his family provided us with delicious Nepali meals made from the fresh vegetables and fruits from their garden. Thanks to the preparation and attention to detail there was always enough variety of food even on the long safari days. Our absolute highlight in Bardia was going on jeep and walking safaris with Shardul himself. With his professional experience and a bit of luck on our side, we were fortunate to spot the elusive tiger! Shardul’s competence in his profession and passion for wildlife conservation made us feel safe while out in the jungle. We regret having to leave and hope to be back in the future! Thank you Shardul + Family for you kind and warm hospitality!

Set in Bhurkīā, Nanu's Bardiya Homestay offers accommodation with a patio. There is a private entrance at the homestay for the convenience of those who stay. All rooms are equipped with a terrace with views of the garden. We stayed at Nanu’s homestay for a week and I can’t imagine a better experience in Bardia! Nanu and the family are incredibly kind people, and we felt deeply cared for the entire stay — would HIGHLY recommend staying with Nanu’s family. Safari experience: We came to Bardia with the hopes of seeing a tiger, and went on two full-day walking safaris, a full day jeep safari, and several sunset/sunrise safaris with Nanu. We were a bit naively unprepared for how much patience & luck is needed to spot big animals in Bardia, but Nanu truly pulled out all the stops to try to help us find wildlife, and in the end we were treated to rhino, leopard, gharial, and tiger sightings!!! It was very clear throughout how invested he was in helping guests have the best experience possible — he even organized a special sunrise safari for us on the day of our departure as a last-chance effort to see a tiger, which succeeded! Homestay experience: While wildlife is what we came to Bardiya for, the family homestay environment is what truly made it so special. Kali, Nanu’s wife, is extremely kind and welcoming, and is an excellent chef. She’s also a certified nature guide herself and does some junior guiding with Nanu, which is incredibly cool in a park where we didn’t see any other female guides. Their sons are very involved with guests and are a joy to talk to and learn from, and they have a very sweet dog as well. The family is happy to help with arrival/departure logistics, including organizing an early-morning tuk tuk from Ambassa and arranging bus tickets to Kathmandu/pokhara/elsewhere. Rooms: We stayed in the king room which was perfectly comfortable for two people. We had a big bed with a mosquito net & fan (though we didn’t need either in November), electrical outlets in the room, and a private attached bathroom with hot water. We also had a lovely front porch with wicker chairs to relax in, and there’s a shaded communal eating area for guests & family.

Bardia Wild Side Hotel features a garden, shared lounge, a terrace and bar in Bhurkīā. Featuring room service, this property also provides guests with a children's playground. The accommodation provides a 24-hour front desk, airport transfers, a shared kitchen and free WiFi. We would get freshly prepared local Nepali food which was absolutely delicious! They have a wide selection of authentic local food to choose from. If you're in the right season, you can also get to try some fresh local honey! The location of the homestay is great, it is very close to the entrance of the national park. We had a great stay here, and had some incredible wildlife sightings (Rhinos, elephants, tigers, hornbills) thanks to the sharp eyes of Tek Bahadur (fondly called Pappu). Will definitely come to visit again!

The clean rooms and the stunning garden filled with vibrant flowers were additional highlights of my stay. This homestay is perfect for all visitors, especially wildlife enthusiasts, offering a unique blend of comfort and nature. The units at the bed and breakfast feature private entrance and soundproofing so guests can enjoy a peaceful stay. A terrace with an outdoor dining area and mountain views is offered in every unit. At the bed and breakfast, units are fitted with bed linen and towels. A beautiful property and lovely guest house very close to the bardiya national park entrance. The Cabins are big and cozy, each one quite far from the other so you get a lot of privacy and all around there are only trees and grass. It feels like really living in nature and not in a resort. The common dinning area is very nice, facing a beautiful river, and the food is good. Krishna and his wife are great hosts and they offer a lot of options to experience the park. Overall, a really amazing value-for-money place in bardiya

At the hotel, each room includes a balcony with a garden view. The private bathroom is equipped with a shower, free toiletries and slippers.

The area is popular for fishing and cycling, and bike hire is available at the accommodation. Riverside View Park Resort was an incredible experience! The stunning location by Bardia National Park provided the perfect mix of comfort and adventure. The staff was exceptional, always welcoming and helpful. The jeep safari was unforgettable—I spotted tigers, rhinos, elephants, and deer in their natural habitat. The elephant-back safari and birdwatching tours offered a unique way to experience the park’s rich biodiversity. Rafting on the Karnali River was another highlight, with sightings of crocodiles and Gangetic dolphins. After action-packed days, relaxing by the riverside, enjoying delicious Nepali food, and watching the sunset over the jungle was the perfect ending. This resort is a hidden gem and a must-visit for nature lovers!

Also, the guided jungle Safari was amazing!
