They know so much about local nature and can share with you a lot.

The accommodation can conveniently provide information at the reception to help guests to get around the area. Absolutely beautiful place, an oasis of peace and calm after the hectic city of Iquitos. It felt like a secret jungle hideout, tucked away down a tributary of the Amazon. The hosts were adorable and treated me like family, cooking delicious meals for me, even taking good care of me when I was a bit poorly with a head-cold. I don’t speak a word of Spanish, yet we managed to communicate just fine and even had some interesting conversations! Thanks also to Enrique, my jungle guide, who took me on a fascinating kayak tour. This time of year the whole area is flooded, so it almost feels like staying on a boat! But there were also kayaks available if I wanted to get out and explore. Although for me I was quite content to relax, meditate and soak up the good vibes. Thank you Liseth and Wiler - I will certainly be back if I ever return to the area.

Eywa Lodge Amazonas - All inclusive is situated in Yucuruche and features a bar. The accommodation features a 24-hour front desk, airport transfers, room service and free WiFi throughout the property.

Guests at the accommodation will be able to enjoy activities in and around Yucuruche, like hiking, fishing and canoeing. We spent 4 nights and 5 days at Eywa lodge and we had a fantastic time. From the moment Freddy met us at our Iquitos hotel until we said our heartfelt goodbyes at the lodge and in Iquitos we were treated with respect and as friends. We were never patronized. The entire team became our friends as well as guides and supporters. Our stay at the lodge, in the forest, on the river was dreamlike. My expectations of giant anacondas, growling jaguars, and man-eating spiders were soon forgotten, replaced with endless green forest, magnificent wild rivers, countless birds, and jewel-like starry night sky’s. Particulars: prepare for rain(panchos). Expect mosquitos, they weren’t bad for us.  We used deet and piccardin and both were effective unless you are known to attract mosquitos, if so, douse outer wear with permethrin. Light weight long sleeve shirts and pants. Good walking shoes, hat, headlamp, and walking stick. Meals were delicious, varied and used local produce and were presented with style. Wifi at lodge was quite good. And the lounge/bar serve a mean pisco sour.

Situated in Paraíso, Grand Amazon Lodge and Tours - All Inclusive has a garden, shared lounge, bar, and free WiFi. The accommodation features free shuttle service, room service and luggage storage for guests. From the moment our excellent guide, Neytha, met us at our Iquitos hotel up to bringing us right back our experience was outstanding. The location was incredible and Neytha's expert individually guided trips from the lodge were wonderful. His care and consideration for our limitations as over 60's was very reassuring. The food and facilities at the lodge, bearing in mind we were 3 hours from Iquitos in remote jungle, could not be faulted.

Bungalows at the Amazon Muyuna Lodge offer basic accommodation, with plenty of mosquito netting and solar energy for lighting, ceiling fans and hot showers in their private bathrooms. With terrace with scenic river or jungle views. The location was amazing. Great to have so much wildlife around you. Meandering down the Amazon river each day was so relaxing and peaceful. Loved spotting all the sloths, monkeys and various birds from the boat and also when we did a trail in the jungle. Seeing an ant eater up close climbing a tree was a highlight as well as the pink dolphins. Our guide , Larissa was excellent.

Iquitos is 5 km from Amak Iquitos Ecolodge, while Santa Teresa is 2.6 km away. The nearest airport is Coronel FAP Francisco Secada Vignetta International, 13 km from the accommodation, and the property offers a free airport shuttle service. The whole experience is very well organized - from check in/ check out, transfers, experiences, meals. The stuff is very welcoming, warm, friendly and always trying to be helpful. The food was absolutely amazing! The cabañas are super comfortable and clean, the common area is very spacious and the outdoor space is a dream! Huge thanks to Julio and Mamerto for making our trip memorable.

Guests at the lodge can enjoy fishing and canoeing nearby, or make the most of the garden. My guide Larry met me at the airport and we travelled to the lodge. Although it was 3 hours time went fast watching the landscape go by. It was dry season for my visit so unfortunately the river way very low and the lodge was not on the river as per photographed on booking. I do wish this was explained. Otherwise i had an amazing 5 days. The accommodation was clean, the food was ok. It was different everyday but simple. My guide Larry was exceptional. His knowledge of the jungle, outstanding, and his English was perfect. We made a plan on arriving for what it would like to do in my time. Highlight was the caiman night tour and lily pads.
