Located in what once was a picturesque fishing village, Al Sultan is a beach resort resembling a Bedouin fortress. It overlooks it's private beach on the Arabian Gulf and features an outdoor pool. I arrived very early at the resort and since my room was not ready I was offered a free upgrade to a suite which was already available. I really thank the receptionist for this as I was really tired and I needed a good rest. The suite was wonderful, very beautifully decorated, comfortable and with a nice view to the sea. The swimming pool was very nice and the breakfast with a big variety of foods to choose from. I also tried the jacuzzi which was very relaxing. I had a wonderful experience at this hotel. It is very good value for money and I totally recommend it to anyone visit the area of Al Khor.
