This is a great place near murchison falls north gate (remember that staying outside the park saves you park fees). Absolutely wonderful and helpful staff, great food, nice cottages (we were 8, staying in one family cottage and two double ones), and waking up with the odd baboon or impala herd walking by. Enjoy!

It took 1h on a beautiful boat ride to arrive. That was part of the magical. We saw Elephants, Hippos, Crocodiles, Birds and an unforgettable sunset. I belive that no other camps or resorts are located inside the park. The team was excellent and the food was very, very good. We had dinner right bellow a sky full of stars. The next day we went with the team to visit the falls (on the opposite side where the tourists usually see them).

Offrant une vue sur le cours d’eau, l’établissement Fort Murchison Lodge by NATURE LODGES LTD vous accueille à Pakwach East. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I’ve stayed in several places around Murchison Falls National Park, but this is by far the best in terms of value for money and facilities. The location is simply amazing — though it’s just outside the park, it gives you a peaceful stay without paying daily park entrance fees. It’s only about a 20-minute drive to the safari gate, so access to the park is still very easy. The food was fantastic — honestly, the best I’ve had anywhere in Uganda! The staff, especially Charles and his team, were incredibly friendly and welcoming. My kids absolutely loved the swimming pool and the play area — it kept them entertained for hours, and the overall environment was calm and relaxing for the whole family.

Beautiful and serene area. There’s a short walk to the Nile river where we saw people finishing. The staff was so lovely and warm. Everything was amazing, a shame we couldn’t stay more nights.
