Perfectly positioned to make the most of the Australian outback, Sails in the Desert is just a 5-minute walk from the Uluru (Ayers Rock) lookout and is a great spot to take in the desert sunrise or... Very family friendly accommodation. Staff were so helpful and allowed us an earlier than planned check in as we had arrived before the 3pm check in time and with kids this is never an easy thing.

Desert Gardens Hotel offers air-conditioned rooms, some with a private balcony or views of Ayers Rock (Uluru). Guests can unwind in the outdoor pool, or at the restaurant and bar. The room was very spacious, the bathroom, too. The ceiling was high and it is a very decorative room. We loved the terrace with garden chairs and table to observe the birds in the morning hours with the red sand in front of us. It was a magic stay, very close to the Uluru and the Olgas. The hotel staff was very helpful and kind, we loved the choice of restaurants and can recommend the hotel's own restaurants. Actually, all people in Yulara were extremely friendly and helpful. We will never forget our stay there. Many thanks!
