We stayed here for one night before an early flight, so our experience may be a little difficult to other holiday makers. Regardless, the place is comfortable, clean and cozy with enough space to relax in. Kitchen area is well thought out. Shower worked perfectly. There's a massive TV to watch in the bedroom and the heater was perfect to make everything cozy. Easy to find, easy to get inside and easy to check our early. No complaints at all and could have happily stayed there longer under different circumstances.

Evandale is a quaint town steeped in history surrounded by velvety hills and patchwork of paddocks. It oozes old world charm. Everyone we interacted with was charming, polite and so very helpful.. such a pleasure being there.

We didn't stay too long because we were flying out the next day, but locals were friendly, food was great - plenty of choice. Not too crowded, some nice shops - antiques, bakery etc. Easy location to walk around or drive.

Nice surprise greeted by a bottle of wine & cookies when checked in. Location was so good less than 5 min walk from a kitchen / gourmet supermarket. Toilet paper roll dispenser is located inside the washing basin cabinet hooked on the door which was an interesting location.

It is a quiet, rural location within a short drive to many historical attractions. If anything was slightly wrong it would be the size of the accommodation for just the two of us. It was good to lie in of a morning then take off for breakfast and sightseeing.

Excellent breakfast selection, very thoughtful touches to room, very warm and comfortable, I also liked the "share-house" vibe while retaining privacy. But unpleasant experience with host: my flight was cancelled so I couldn't be there for the first night, then work rescheduled so I didn't stay for the third night. The host was concerned that she would lose income from the booking, complaining that she paid her mortgage from income from hosting, UNTIL she realised that I had already paid and then she quickly switched to refusing my query about a refund, that she couldn't because I hadn't given 48 hours notice (which was impossible in the circumstances). Booking.com was also very unhelpful - other sites do a better job with this.

Our stay in Launceston was made up of visiting the many historical sites and places of interest. Enjoyed the trip up the Tamer Valley to George Town, and the historical buildings and old port area, along with some unusual wood carvings, carved from the branches of a tree, Also we went to the Gold Mine at Berresford, ceased operation in 1970, the Museum was interesting, showing amongst other things, the rescue of the trapped miners after a tunnel collapsed.
Near by are a number of wineries, on the way to the Swiss Village, yes that is right, a full working Swiss Village, accommodation available there.

Inveresk is on the hill overlooking Launceston.
Inveresk is on the hill overlooking Launceston. It is a well established suburb with lots of houses on the hill, in the middle of nature. Very close the CBD and fine dining restaurants but also close to shops and take-aways. From Launceston there are short 1-2 hour drive to see penguins, platypuss and Tasmanian devils at Cradle Mt. Not much of night-club life but perfect for families or honeymoon. Not overpriced and the locals are exceptionally welcomming, starting from the car rental at the airport to the very knoledgable young guides in the national parks, santcuaries and museums. Roads are good and maintained but suggest AWD or 4WD.

Everything centrally located along Wellington Street. Can recommend the Country Club Hotel for dining.
Being a long weekend some places were shut, in particular a couple of homewares shops and a cafe.
Woolmers Estate and Brickendon Estate worth visiting.
