Located in Kasane, 1.2 miles from Baobab Prison Tree Kasane, Travelodge Kasane has accommodations with an outdoor swimming pool, free private parking, a garden and a terrace. WOW! My 10 rating goes straight to the staff of this Lodge. They were amazing, friendly, helpful and nothing was to much for them. We could even hand in laundry before we checked in, our rooms were moved to accommodate us. The rooms were immaculate. Safe secure parking and we had a lovely inhouse dinner and delicious breakfast. We will be back, for sure. Thank you.

Shalakwe Hills-Inn Guesthouse Kasane is a recently renovated guest house in Kasane where guests can make the most of its garden and terrace. The beautiful ladies here helped us with everything from booking all our tours (for good prices too), helping us order food, and getting taxis. Everything was so thoughtful, rooms super clean, and a nice garden view from the window.

We booked two rooms with very comfortable and spacious king-size beds. The rooms were large, bright and spotless, with air conditioning, TV, fridge, kettle, tea and coffee facilities — everything we needed. The location is also convenient, only about 3 minutes by car from Kasane town centre and the shops. The staff were kind and helpful throughout our stay.

Featuring free Wifi, private parking, and a garden, the recently renovated property Punkinheads Guesthouse offers accommodations in Kasane, 1.2 miles from Mowana Golf Course and 2 miles from Baobab... My friend and I booked our stay at this beautiful guesthouse at first strictly based on the unique name. Turns out this was the best place ever! From the moment we arrived to our last night, we felt at home. Our gracious hostess, Lumba, made us feel at home. The room was very clean, bathroom clean (a little tiny) but comfy. Breakfast was delicious with your typical English breakfast, coffee and juice offered. Our hostess assisted with excursion bookings, helping us the get the best prices. So our last night we invited her to join us for a little brai (grilling) for dinner. We ate and talked as if we were old friends from years before. Highly recommended this guesthouse!!! Location, price point, safety, customer service all 5 stars!!!
The river cruise on the Chobe was the best - lovely views, good sightings! Secondly, a big treat was to walk across the Gazangula bridge where 4 countries meet (Botswana, Namibia, Zambia and Zimbabwe. A sight i will never forget!
Kasane is a good place to stay if you want to visit the incredible Chobe national park. It is a very small town, rather a village, with a few restaurants and supermarkets. The town itself is perhaps not very charming but the tours provided here are excellent and you can travel individually and book the tours. There are some luxurious lodges by the river as well as cheaper options in town.
Cruising the river was awesome, we went twice and the second time we saw the elephant swimming over to the Island too feed on the grass, it was an amazing sight that we will never forget. We took an organized tour and had lunch at an amazing resort
It was easy to get around and we were able to get everything we needed. The boat trip on the Chobe River was unforgettable with the river crossing of the elephants and the sun going down! We also visit the Chobe Game Reserve and were able to see many lions, Kudu, impalas and a leopard!!! We did the early morning game drive and visitors must remember to dress warmly! It is lovely on the open vehicles, but it is very cold!!!! We would love to visit again, but most of the roads are in a terrible condition.
Kasane is a convenient gateway for Chobe safaris, but in terms of accommodation, the variety is quite limited and not as refined as what you'll find in nearby destinations. Personally, I would prefer staying in Livingstone and doing a day trip to Kasane, as it offers a wider range of quality stays and overall a more well-rounded experience.
Kasane is a great place to explore Chobe river front by both vehicle and boat. It has a good range of shops/ food / drink options and you might be lucky to see the resident warthog or banded mongoose families wandering about round town. They are perfectly harmless! It is also very easy (at least in season) to join a tour to Victoria Falls for a day. Most people are passing through as self drivers or on organised tours but I have now stayed twice, without a vehicle, and had a great time using local tour companies for wildlife adventures. It's a wonderful place!
