Location was perfect, inside the airport. If you want to visit downtown, then the skytrain station is nearby. I stayed at Vancouver for layover of 20 hours; so the hotel was the best choice!

Nice home away at Vancouver near YVR offers accommodations in Vancouver, 2.5 miles from Sea Island Centre Skytrain Station and 2.8 miles from Bridgeport Skytrain Station. The basic coffee, tea,milk, drinking water, salt, pepper ,oil and sugar are provided. Location is good for us. They provided all necessary appliances. The interior design is very tastefully done. Its 5 minutes walk to the Fraser River Park, 8 minutes walk to Safeway supermarket and plenty of nice restaurants nearby. Highly recommended and near the airport.

I enjoyed being in Richmond, nice quiet area traffic wasn’t too bad, if I were to ever go back I would definitely stay in the same hotel, I enjoyed visiting people from all walks of life and amazed to hear where they arrived from and where they’re travelling to, I was fascinated with one traveller when he said he was going on an Alaskan cruise!

Wonderful area.
Wonderful area. Clean, beautiful. Close to Steveston Waterfront. You do need a car, but there are so many excellent restaurants and things to do. We enjoyed walking along the waterfront, and the Britannia Shipyards was a must see.

Very expensive.
Very expensive. Especially the restaurants. Area was ok. It was a reasonable ride to Vancouver, not far from the airport. We felt safe in the area where Sandman is. We used Uber to get to the cruise and the hotel shuttle fir the airport. I was surprised they didn't have a shuttle for the cruise ships even if they charged.

Richmond is a very beautiful city.
Richmond is a very beautiful city. It is very clean, and the natives are extremely helpful and friendly. The Public Transportation system is very comprehensive and very easy to navigate. {Elvin and Kitty August 2025}

I did not spend much time in Richmond this trip, as I came in to see the Lene Lovich show at the Rickshaw theatre in Vancouver. I am however familiar with, and drawn to Richmond, particularly for it's diversity in both people and entertainment options.

Right around the corner from Waterfront Station, making it easy to use the Canada Line train to/from YVR. Walkable to the waterfront and to the variety of eateries along Robson. The rooms were comfortable and the living room space made it feel like a home away from home. The hotel fulfilled my request for extra pillows since I need some extra support. The bar staff, even though they were closing up for the evening, still served us. From security/doorman to reception, a great warm staff.
