One of the best choices if you have a night layover in Helsinki. You will not need to walk from airport building. Moreover, the room was spacious and had an amazing view to airport. Breakfast was amazing, full of different food choices. In general, I recommend this hotel.

The room is spacious while the bed is big and comfortable. There's a desk where you can put many things on it which makes high convenience for travelers with several luggage. The conditioner is one of the best in the hotels which I have stayed and my hair has been "protected" even after 20 hours with flights.
It's really close to the airport as well, so easy for people who have early flights like us. Staff are professional and friendly.

Helsinki-Vantaa Airport (HEL) Information
Location and Transport
Located 11 miles (17 kilometres) from central Helsinki in the city of Vantaa, Helsinki-Vantaa Airport is the main international gateway to Finland and the busiest airport in the country. There are two direct train connections from Helsinki Airport to the city centre, I-train and P-train, departing every 10 minutes. You can also take the 615 bus or the Finnair City Bus to Helsinki Railway Station, running every 30 minutes.
Nearby Hotels and Airport Facilities
There are hotel options inside the terminals and others nearby that offer a shuttle service. Helsinki-Vantaa Airport has plenty of facilities to keep you entertained before takeoff. Check out Terminal 2’s photo exhibition which showcases famous people who have passed through the airport during its 60-year history, or wander up to Finavia's new Scenic Terrace for spectacular views over the runways. Other useful services include currency exchange, free WiFi, charging stations and (the possibility of) tax-free refunds.
Terminal Information
Helsinki-Vantaa Airport has two terminals linked by a walkway. The airside parts of the terminal buildings are not divided into Terminal 1 (the former domestic terminal) and Terminal 2 (the former international terminal) but into Schengen and non-Schengen areas.

Vantaa was a good place to stay out of Helsinki with much reasonable prices. The aviation museum is a must see and spent half a day there. The mall near the hotel was very good and spent a whole day there. We used Vantaa as a break between trips but would spend more time in future.

Excellent location, in the city, but still very peaceful and quiet. Woke up to bird song! Went for morning runs on the riverside and through fields - and then took the 15-minute trainride to Helsinki city centre. Great!

Helsinki felt very friendly and very safe to walk around.
Helsinki felt very friendly and very safe to walk around. We loved pretty much everything about the city including the beautiful city park. We even enjoyed a dip in the Baltic sea when visiting one of the many saunas. Our only let down, was the Zoo. I thought it was dated and in need of some TLC. We also didn't see many animals in a lot of the enclosures. Overall though, Helsinki is definitely a 10/10 City.

Our primary reason for Vantaa was our need to be at the airport very early. The public transport runs super efficiently.
We bussed into central Helsinki using 2 routes and both were excellent. Bus stops literally outside the apartment block.
The train station is a brisk 10 minute walk away and again super service for Helsinki, the airport or connections to wider Finland..
Locally there's a a couple big supermarkets too.

At this time of year, late April, some of the tourist options dont operate as you might expect aka Hop on/off bus isnt that until into May, (convenient Tourist information at Senate Square in the City Centre. )Olympic Museum may be of interest but wont take that long to look round. Seems if you want the Salmon Soup you had better think about that early on a cold day - initially looks expensive but the pictures show large chunks of fish. Lake Tuulusa can be reached by bus from Kervo rail station - had as short stay there. Harbour boat trip was chilly so went inside after halfhour.

I was surprised from my visit to Helsinki.
I was surprised from my visit to Helsinki. On planning the trip, I believed that very little English was spoken. However, most people that I encountered knew at least some English and many spoke it very well, with many Finns speaking the tone of American English versus British English. The city is very clean and very well laid out from what I saw. The transportation is very good. Buying a day travelling ticket allowed me to go on buses , trams, trains and ferries. The city is a gateway to the eastern part of Europe as it sits next to Russia. Trains from the downtown train station had run to Moscow and to St. Petersburg; however, the political climate has put a freeze on using these trains for now. One can get a ferry from Helsinki to Estonia, roundtrip, for about 30 Euros. The airport is very modern and clean, and operates very efficiently. The city planners have kept the tall skyscraper-type buildings away from the downtown area, which I believe is a good thing.

my friend and I spent four nights at HEL, 2 nights at Bob and 2 nights in another four star hotel.
I would say, 10 is not enough to score Bob: best location, best staff, best facility.
I would definitely choose Bob again when in HEL or other cities!
