Breakfast was very good with fresh bakeries, jams, yogurt, boiled eggs, etc. prepared by our host. It was served in a common table for all the customers which resulted in some interesting conversations with fellow travelers (we liked it). Also Guy was very accomodating with the timetable, so that we could leave early to visit Mont St Michel. We also had recommendations on restaurants and things to visit nearby.

It's a perfect location for an overnight stay before catching the ferry home. There are some lovely walks around the estuary, the barrage is interesting, and it's not far to walk to some local restaurants.

Dinard in mid-September is lovely.
Dinard in mid-September is lovely. The crowds have gone home but it is still busy. The weather can still be warm during the day for a paddle on the beaches. There are some nice cafes and great restaurants. We love the place!

A very comfortable property in a lovely area. There are some beautiful walks from the house that take you along the Rance Estuary. Dinan, St Lunaire and St Briac sur mer are all within easy reach (20 minute drive) and are lovely places to visit.

The beaches are spectacular but it seems to me that the place is not so well served for amenities (restaurants in particular) in relation to the crowds it attracts on sunny days. We struggled, but were eventually successful, in finding somewhere to have lunch on arrival at about 12:30 - everywhere was full. We were here as a stopover before catching the early ferry the next day from St. Malo, so it served its purpose well, and we stayed in a beautiful 'tiny house' for one night. But I'd be wary of booking a longer stay in the area - the coast is stunning but away from the coast it looks as though residential development is winning.

Pleslin-Trigavou is an ideal location for exploring the Rance and the wonderful coastline around Dinard. It's withing easy reach of Dinan, and is about 30 mins drive from the channel port of St Malo.

It has the feel of an island with many facilities in the small town/village in the centre. I'm too old for beaches but saw many small lovely coves with clean sandy beaches on my walks, If you need a change of scenery there are many attractive larger towns within 30 minutes drive, Dinan is a must and we found the prices a bit lower there too.

Driving from Renne don't miss your exit because you will need to drive to the next exit to get turned back. I made that mistake only once.
Also, many BBhotels are right next to good restaurants that offer specials for guests. Not aware of one at Saint-Jouan-des-Guerets. Verdun has a great one as do the BBhotels in Lens and Compiegne.

St Malo is very laid back, there are many different areas to explore. Some areas are really up market we stayed mostly around near the ferry and along the beaches which we loved. There is so much to see wish we had longer there. We eventually found a restaurant that served vegan food which was really good. Also had a mediocre Indian restaurant meal. Very good health food shop. Shops selling local crafts etc

Ideal if you want to visit France, most of the locals I came across had limited English, meaning that I was able to practice my French. Its not a tourist trap, we ate were the locals ate as you should when you want to sample another culture. Its a pretty little town I found it relaxed and safe. It is close to St Malo for the ferry but also Dinar and a little further north is Saint-Lunaire with an amazing beach.

Dinard is a lovely, clean and friendly town that is very 'chilled' - it puts our UK seaside resorts to absolute shame. Perhaps because there were few 'brits' there - certainly not many 'tubs & tats'
There are loads of good shops and restaurants and the locals are really welcoming. The facilities are great for adults and kids alike and prices were quite normal.
