Really lovely host, Marianne made us very welcome in her home. Rooms were very comfortable, clean and everything you need for a great stay. 15 minutes walk from the circuit 24heures du Mans and 10 to 15 minutes walk to restaurants in the opposite direction. It is France and so for English speakers you do need to understand and speak french at a basic level, but that is what makes it such a special stay - you are staying in a french home after all!

General upkeep and appearance, newer sockets and furnishings, so it had a nice fresh feeling. Room good size, beds comfrotable, 2 pillow cases, clean, good storage etc. Accepted our pet, and secure parking, with very nice restaurant, excellent cuisines and service. Surrounding was interesting, a rather nice informal low key park with a large pond, amneity for the area which was a nice buffer against the main road and traffic. Access to the main road was good, but the traffic was heavy of course during rush hour in order to reach autostrade or highway.

Rue Bourdelle is ideally located for access to the Le Mans circuit, a 20 minute walk. Self catering needs are met by local shops 5 minutes walk away and the tram stop for the 20 minute ride into LeMans Town Centre is only a 10 minute walk.
The house is clean and has a good sized living/dining area and the 3 double bedrooms are all the same size. 2 x WCs is handy. The lovely garden is nice for enjoying evening drinks/meals.When the cost was shared by 3 people it represented excellent value-for-money accommodation in the week of The LeMans Classic event.

Ruaudin dies in the evening and at night with no hope of getting a meal. There is not much to look at though the church looked splendid. I imagine that crime is low as there was not a soul about. I will avoid going to Ruaudin ever again.
The Ashley hotel was a real let down, though the breakfast lady was pleasant enough.

Lovely peaceful stay.
Lovely peaceful stay. Accommodation compact but very comfortable and pleasant. Nice little secure garden for our dog which was much appreciated. Small kitchen area but enough for our needs. Would definitely stay here again.

Le Mans racetrack was everything I imagined and more - the exhibition was eye-watering and I could have spent all day walking around the track!
And... the limited edition range of Steve McQueen clothing in the on-site store was too die for!

The availability of eateries is rather on the small side, but there is a great restaurant and also a bistro near the moulin at nearby Fille. About 15 minutes away you also can drive towards Le Mans on part of the racetrack and there are numerous restaurants catering for all tastes.

I don't think there is much to Teloche but a small village, kind of like a new town in places. Lovely countryside nearby. And the race tracks and a family restaurant/activity park short drive away. It was a stopover for us.

The hotel was close to Le Mans and easy to find. Great parking directly outside in car park. Ruaudin has nothing open if you arrive in the evening. Shop closes at 20.00 and bar tabac at 19.30 I believe. Restaurant only open at midday. Good bakers during the day. There is nothing in the town or hotel to recommend staying there except for the proximity to Le Mans.

The Le Mans museum and circuit was the only place we visited...
The Le Mans museum and circuit was the only place we visited but that was great fun. From driving through it had maxed neighbourhoods and there is significant road works happening at the moment which causes lots of diversions.

It's a super quiet village. No restaurants. I recommend going to the grocery store before going to the accommodation booked. The bakery is just amazing, and they also have a self-service grocery with products from the farm. Worth to try!

Le Mans is somewhat dull.
Le Mans is somewhat dull. The cathedral is impressive but the old town, compared to others I have visited, is rather underwhelming. We stayed there whilst travelling down, and then back up, France. That was enough. I wouldn't return and wouldn't recommend it to friends. Unless you plan to go for the Le Mans 24 - look elsewhere; there are much prettier places.
