Alderney (0.5 miles from Alderney Airport)
Located in Alderney, 1.4 km from Platte Saline Beach, The Victoria provides accommodation with a shared lounge, free WiFi and a housekeeping service. The bed and breakfast features family rooms. A lovely B&B at the north end of St. Anne’s Main Street, the Victoria is sistered with The Georgian House across the road and south a few doorways. The B&B’s main floor is given over to a cozy front sitting room, the breakfast room, and a pantry cupboard well stocked with jams and preserves for purchase. Room access is up a set of stairs, and our room was attractive, well-sized, and spotlessly clean. It had bunk beds, and storage was in a free-standing wardrobe. Breakfast is excellent, and features a selection of cooked to order, home made granola, local yogurt, and fresh bread. All staff members we encountered were friendly and capable.

Blonde Hedgehog has a garden, shared lounge, a terrace and restaurant in Alderney. Offering a bar, the property is located within 1.2 km of Platte Saline Beach. How can a hotel be so beautiful? Our stay was simply fabulous in all areas. The rooms are exactly as in the photos - furnished with great attention to detail and fantastically beautiful. We were particularly impressed by the high-quality care products, the fresh milk in the fridge and the home-baked biscuits - all of which made us feel very welcome. Another highlight: free beach towels and sun hats to borrow - a great service that makes your stay by the sea even more relaxing. The breakfast left nothing to be desired: a varied selection at the cold buffet as well as freshly prepared hot dishes that could be ordered in addition. The restaurant was also great - with a wonderful ambience, very good food and a garden that is not only beautifully laid out but can also be used by hotel guests. The staff were friendly, attentive and exceptionally courteous throughout - you can really feel their commitment and hospitality here. Conclusion: A place to feel good and come back to - we were completely thrilled!

Located within 29 km of La Cite de la Mer and 35 km of Cherbourg Golf Course, La petite Irlande in Auderville provides a garden and rooms with free WiFi. A scenic location in a village of lovely old stone houses near the sea. We particularly liked the room, which was large with a comfortable bed and also a large en-suite with an excellent shower. Continental style breakfast was included. It was great to have a big TV with Netflix available. We were able to watch movies in English with French subtitles. Pascal was an attentive host and even taught us a few French expressions! The place exceeded our expectations and we would go back and would recommend it to our friends. Merci beaucoup, Pascal.
Hotel has a fantastic location and the view from the terrace fantastic. Staff were really great and the service excellent. Alderney is such a great location for a short break with the island providing some amazing walks, all can be done in the day. Real rich history and has one “good” of everything…the Indian restaurant in the principal village (10 min walk) fantastic too….
Having been to Alderney many times I always want to stay longer It’s like the scilly islands without the people or the pretence or Cornwall sixty years ago Lovely people the most amazing beaches and without the crowds
An excellent hotel in all respects: location, customer service (every member of staff was friendly and helpful) and comfort. Our first visit to Alderney and loved it, so hope to return and will definitely stay at Braye Beach again.
Alderney is a wonderful island to visit, but is sadly let down by the poor air service that Aurigny now provides. Its once-capable fleet of small aircraft serving the island has since been retired, leaving just two (presently ONE for the last week) aircraft able to serve Alderney airport. Until the States of Guernsey procures replacement, more reliable aircraft on the route, I regret that I shall not return to Alderney, which is a shame, because the island deserves to be far better served.
Superb Location. Excellent Staff. Really Good Quality Food. Hotel Quiet Away From The Bar And Restaurant. Alcohol A Tad On The Pricey Side In The Hotel. The (Attached) Divers Inn Pub Well Worth More Than One Visit And You Can Bill Your Drinks Etc To Your Room If You Are A Hotel Resident.
A beautiful island with such a lot of history from WWII in particular. So friendly and safe, everyone leaves their doors unlocked. It's a peaceful retreat, probably not for those who want a full-on active holiday although there is bike and surf hire. Only a few shops but you can get everything you need. We flew from Southampton which was an experience in itself. A tiny plane with 19 passengers. You can watch the pilots and they just turn around to make announcements! As it flies at a lower altitude, the views are amazing.
