Don't trust Google Maps or Apple Maps: the hotel is 300 meters straight from the port; I was on a bike and had to do the mountain grand prix twice (there and back) because the GPS sends you to the other side of the island, to The Colonsay Apartments, even if it is indicated as The Colonsay Hotel. The photo is what the GPS says, but the hotel is close to the start.

We loved everything about the Cabin. The Cabin had everything we needed and the location was amazing. The owners were friendly & we loved the free-range animals. Wonderful, characterful accommodation in a magnificent setting between the mountains and the sea. We had a great time cycling up the Long Road to Barnhill, strenuous but worth it. Mit kostenlosem WLAN und Meerblick, ist die Unterkunft Jura, Mrs Leonard's Cottage gelegen in Isle of Jura. Dieses Ferienhaus bietet einen Garten und einen kostenlosen Privatparkplatz. Das alte, aufwändig renovierte Steinhaus ist gut ausgestattet und liebevoll eingerichtet. Für zwei Personen gibt es ausreichend Platz. Bei mehr Personen müssen diese auf einer sehr steilen Leiter unter das Dach klettern, um in das zweite Bett zu gelangen. Der Garten ist sehr schön: herrliche Aussicht, Eßplatz, Liegestühle und sogar ein Vogelhaus, das gut besucht wird (es gibt Futter zum nachfüllen!). Die Lage ist traumhaft, absolut ruhig. Es gibt ein gutes W-LAN. Hinweis: man sollte auf jeden Fall Lebensmittel von Islay (Coop in Bowmore) mitbringen.
