Leider ist Luton nicht unbedingt schön (sehr schmutzige Innenstadt und Parks), deshalb eher nichts für den Freizeiturlaub. Für dienstliche Reisen ist es dort allerdings aushaltbar und durch die große Mall hat man nachmittags Möglichkeiten sich Kleinigkeiten zu kaufen oder in eines der Restaurants, die in der Nachbarschaft sind, Essen zu gehen. The Red Lion, Pizza Express, German Kebab, The Engine sind zum Beispiel Restaurants, die für relativ wenig Geld gutes Essen bieten.

Luton kann man gesehen haben, muss man aber nicht.
Luton kann man gesehen haben, muss man aber nicht. Es wurde viel für die Öffentlichkeit getan, schöne Plätze und Parkanlagen, Blumenkübel und Bänke. Luton ist eine alte Arbeiterstadt, in entsprechende Bauten muss noch viel investiert werden. Diese Straßenzüge sehen eher vernachlässigt aus. Die BewohnerInnen muss man erleben, um eine Meinung bilden zu können. Ich möchte mich hier nicht "politisch und gesellschaftlich unkorrekt" äußern. Luton ist Universitätsstadt, daher sind in der kleinen Stadt viele junge Menschen zu sehen. Es gibt ein großes Einkaufszentrum "The Mall", zahlreiche Pubs und viele Restaurants mit einer sehr großen Auswahl internationaler Küchen.
