Hotels near Noto Airport (NTQ), Wajima

First of all, a very big THANK YOU to Takayama Megumi-san. She helped me to look for another hotel when I needed to stay in Wajima for another night, as Umenoya was full and unable to extend my stay.I cannot thank her enough for being so kind and helpful although it was my mistake. I ended up having to stay for one more night in Wajima as I wanted to support Wajima Mobile Morning Market (Wajima Morning Market or Asaichi) was razed to the ground by a huge fire due to the Noto Peninsula Earthquake on 01 Jan 2024 and then in Sept the same year,there were severe floods. Reconstruction and recovery is a very long process and I hope my visit this time can show the people of Wajima that they are not forgotten at all by the world. Wajima is recovering slowly but surely. It was a pleasant surprise for me that Umenoya is just a stone throw away from Juzo Jinja,the focal point of the previous Wajima Asaichi and it is a key collection point for donation supplies. The facilities are very new,I loved the Hinoki scent when I slid the fusuma door open to my room. It is more than adequate for my needs,the single room which I stayed in. Beautiful House with high quality furniture. It was very comfortable, and we had everything we need to enjoy our holiday.

Location was great, and in particular the view from our room. Buffet was ugly, stressful and with low quality, suggest not to have that included

It was a long drive up the Noto Peninsula and we had to drive along a narrow road through a short stretch of forest before we were pleasantly surprised by the beautiful facade of the hotel. The entire stay was a pampering experience. The view from the room was amazing. Both dinner and breakfast were exquisitely prepared and served in private rooms. We had a 50 min private bath which was extremely soothing. There were small zen gardens, libraries in a corner, and cupboards full of yukatas of different colors and designs. These were very pleasant to the eyes. I also liked how courteous and attentive the hotel staff were.

Loved the location, perfect for a slow holiday. Host was very accommodating and provided enough privacy even though it was a guesthouse. I enjoyed the design of the rooms and the easy access to the beautiful view of the Noto sea.

The place was very clean and cosy. The host was very kind and prepared an extraordinary vegetarian breakfast. The location is also amazing.

Although the aftermath of the 2024 earthquake is still very present, Kuroshima is gradually reviving. One example is this guest house. The host is quite pleasant, and the amenities are excellent. Obviously, the location is the cherry on top.
