We cooked simple meals and did a couple of loads of light laundry during our stay as they were easy to do here. The place also seems to have some kind of central heating that always seems to be kept on during the colder months (we were here during fall) so it's always somewhat toasty. The bathroom is new and roomy and the decor of the entire place is very charming. Overall, there's a very kind and peaceful atmosphere to this place. You can tell the owner put a lot of love and thought into making the place feel as much like home as possible. We rested and slept really well here. Shared some pictures. Note that the bed looked unmade cos I slept in it. I took it the next morning after checking in. 😅

The staff were very helpful and friendly - the view amazing. Would have stayed longer had itinerary allowed. If staying longer than one night check the rules re luggage and leaving it in the room whilst out - my vague recollection is you have to take your luggage and they cant store it... but I could be wrong. But a great place to stay and its on bus route 31 from bus bay 5 from Toyama Station - takes about 20 mins. You can order great food at the hotel all day and the free breakfast - I had curry - was really very good. And drinks in the foyer are all free. Really nice place to dtay but not a lot around if l

Located in Toyama, the recently renovated Guesthouse KEN offers accommodation 3 km from Toyama Station and 11 km from Toyama-kō. The owner waited to receive my family arrival. Excellent hospitality. Communication with the Japanese owner not a problem as he could speak good English. Within the unit, cleanliness in tip-top condition. The living room with a very comfortable sofa, huge dinning table sufficient for 6 pax use, nicely sized shower room, etc. Everything within the unit looks newly furnished and in excellent condition. Beddings are very comfortable, perfect for good rest. Air conditioning keeping the unit in comfortable temperature. Supermarket and F&B establishments are just a few minutes drive away. Surrounding environment is peaceful and terrific. This place has been the best my family ever stayed among the many overseas trips our family had. Owner even popped by to say Good Bye despite our family leaving the unit in early hours in the morning. Highly recommended.
