Safari Experience: Our guide, Alan, was knowledgeable and great with the kids. The safari itself exceeded expectations, offering unforgettable moments with the wildlife. Campfire Evenings: Gathering around the campfire in the evenings was a memorable experience. The sounds of hyenas and wildlife in the mornings made it feel even more magical. Warm Hospitality: The overall vibe of the camp made us feel at home and added a personal touch to the experience. Warm Layers: We ended up purchasing some lovely traditional blankets from Alan to stay warm in the chilly August mornings, which was a nice keepsake.

I'm glad I could spend two nights at this good place, I wish it had been longer. The staff were very kind and caring, willing to share knowledge about the place, people and the surrounding nature.This is the perfect place to escape the hustle and bustle of civilization. The simplicity of the spacious tents with minimalist, comfortable furnishings offers a glimpse into the lives of ancient travelers. A glimpse because you have electricity and own well equipped bathroom. The distance between the tents and the rich vegetation provide privacy and a sense of close proximity to nature, you can hear the voices of animals and birds, or enjoy the opportunity to observe some of them while sitting on the terrace of the tent. Thanks to all the staff for their care and good sense of humor, especially to the chef who, in addition to serving delicious European dishes, gave us the opportunity to try exquisite African cuisine.

Die AA Lodge Maasai Mara liegt 4 km vom Sekenani Main Gate, 10 Fahrminuten vom Siana Springs Air Strip und 1 Flugstunde von Nairobi entfernt. Von hier aus - man darf ja nicht mehr selber fahren - machten wir 2 Game-Drives mit Joel - ein guter Guide und Ranger. Die Tierwelt war prächtig - v.a. mengenmässig. Wir sind ja verwöhnt, waren 2018 schon auf der anderen Seite des Mara Rivers und haben dort noch mehr Tiere, v.a. 5 Migrationen über den Mara River erlebt.
