This guest house offers a garden. it’s a small guest house, the staff is amazing, helpfull and friendly. Expect the quality of want you pay. For me it was perfect. I was looking for, good location, friendly staff, and good price, and it’s what I got.

I have been coming to Gypsy Inn for more than a decade because I love the hospitality of this wonderful family. It is a good location if you want to be close to the pier where the boats leave to Inle Lake. The room was spacious with high ceilings and I got clean, white bed sheets and towels. Windows have mosquito nets - I had not a single mosquito in my room. You can book tours and busses to Bagan or Yangon / Mandalay at the reception. The room rates are among the best in town and it used to be THE guesthouse backpackers hung out at before NyaungShwe was flooded with hotels. Nowadays many hotels are closed but the Gypsy is still up and running. If you are on a budget and look for a familiar atmosphere then come here.

It’s a lovely hotel run by a super friendly owner. Perfect spot for boat trips and really affordable too. There are quite a few mosquitoes because of the area, but if you use some repellent, there’s nothing to worry about. Totally recommend it!
