Very comfortable for a.night when you have to catch an early.flight. you have to.go through passport control to reach it and it is close to many food options. The room was small but had everything I needed for the night and the bed was quite comfortable.

The Sheraton Amsterdam Airport Hotel and Conference Center has direct access to Schiphol International Airport outside security check and is only 15 minutes by train and 20 minutes by car from... I have to travel though Schipol several times a year on long hauls and usually have to spend a night before my flight back home so I have stayed in almost all hotels in the area and the Sheraton its simply the best. Its worth the extra money to not having to take a shuttle and having access to the airport allows you to have more dining options and purchasing gifts with no pressure.

A very nice and quiet city. People were great, we had the opportunity to visit this very nice place, "the Beach" with we enjoyed a lot. People at the front desk were also wonderful. Thank you, we will come back on our next visit to the Netherlands.

I had a long overnight layover in Amsterdam, arriving after midnight, so I chose the Mercure for its convenient location in the terminal. It was a very easy check in experience and a very comfortable room, perfect for my needs.

Aalsmeer is close to Amsterdam to get in easily, but far enough away that the city does not swamp you. It is close to Amsterdam Bos, which is a massive park, filled with cycle paths. There is shopping and excellent cafes and restaurants. Close by also, is Amstelveen, and I can recommend Colijn restaurant, which is simply amazing. The tram into the Amsterdam is frequent and fast, or you can use RAI park and ride which we used several times because of the simplicity and cost. If you have a car, reaching places like Naarden and Utrecht is straightforward (and both recommended). There is so much historic and modern Netherlands within easy reach of Aalsmeer I can strongly recommend staying here.

The airport is very easy to navigate, staff are friendly and most speak English as well as Dutch. The train, which is in the same area as the airport, requires a credit card for each passenger but is very easy to tap on and off. If you are looking for a good flat white (if you know, you know), look carefully before you order - most places use automatic machines and the coffee is ordinary. Look for an espresso machine.

In spite of the convenient location, and decent ammenities, there were issues with early gaining access to our room, no hot water on the bathroom sink, on both our visits, logging onto the wi-fi network, and confusion among assigned accommodation.
