Absolutely loved this B&B! My friends and I stayed here after doing the Hobbiton Evening Banquet Tour, and it was so nice to have somewhere nearby to relax that late at night. There is a large DVD selection, and we watched Lord of the Rings hehe. Also loved getting to pet and feed the goats and see the ducks!! Beautiful and clean property.

Lovely Stay at Cameo B&B
We had a great stay at Cameo B&B. A solid 10 out of 10! The room was clean and comfortable, and the atmosphere was cozy. It had everything it needed.
Our host, Cheri, was a standout — always available and willing to go the extra mile to help. Her kindness really made a difference during our stay.
We’d recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet and welcoming place to stay!

We arrived to a spotless house, with some lovely extras like bread, cupcakes, fruit, yoghurt, milk and juice. The space is perfect for a family or group of friends. The kids were so excited by the pool table and the huge, comfy sofas!
Once we'd settled in, Maria popped over to say hello and give us some nuts for the gorgeous alpacas and sheep. We felt so welcome.
The shower is big, water is hot, and we felt very safe and comfortable in the Red Shed. Thank you!

This house was wonderfully built by the owner in a unique timber style and is very comfortable for a total of 10 guests.
The interior and exterior are arranged to gather all the guests on the several tables put at their disposal.
The garden is heaven and properly maintained.
It’s quiet and relaxing.
We highly recommend this house

Visited the I-Centre too and found the staff to be helpful.

Matamata is a nice little town with the usual array of shops and some good eating places. Of course its access to Hobbiton, which was the purpose of our trip, but enjoyed a pleasant evening eating fish n chips in the wooded, shaded park area by the Isite.
