Although the building was old, it was quirky. Clean, beautiful views and plenty of space, different areas to hang out. Great wi-fi and hosts were helpful. Heaters and heat pump did the job of keeping it toasty. Plenty of hot water.

Great location. It is a long but beautiful walk to the city along the waterfront. The motel sits on a bus line that services downtown. The room was spotless and in excellent condition. The front office was most helpful in providing directions, etc.

We loved Wellington as there was such a variety of things to do. We visited the Te Papa museum, Zealandia, the Botanic Gardens and the Bolton Cemetery. We did a 10.5 mile hike on Christmas Day from our hotel along the waterfront and up to the Mount Victoria lookout and along the southern walkway… The views were stunning. The architecture in Wellington is wonderful and the trees are magnificent. It was quiet in the run up to Christmas but we didn’t get bored.

The one car parking for one bed didn't exist so one had to park outside the subdivision. I had no issues but I probably wouldn't have stayed there if I had realized the parking was like that.
I was offered a microwave which I didn't take but would if staying there as only food related facility was the kettle.
It was difficult to shave and do teeth in the small bathroom sink BUT the facilities were brand new and very nice.
I didn't see Tunde while staying there only his wife briefly. It is a nice subdivision and feels safe. I would recommend as long as people understand about the parking. I ate in Petone shops both fish and chips and Indian and they were very good. One can walk to the shops but at night best to drive - cold and sometimes wet when I was there.

A very comfortable stay for 3 days. Don't expect brand new and shiny but the hospitality is wonderful and the room had everything we needed and was lovely and clean. Great places to eat in town and a supermarket if you want to prepare your own meals.

The biggest pain in the butt when you come by vehicle in...
The biggest pain in the butt when you come by vehicle in Wellington is that there is no on-site parking. This means added to your costs is the cost of parking your vehicle somewhere. The other issue is the weather. You are most likely to get blown away in this city. Other than that Wellington's social scene is magic. There are a million cafes, and coolest bars with live music; blows all other NZ cities away with the wind.

Great place to stay with interesting shops, local museum and proximity to beach. Loved the restaurants and cafes. Simply Grill Kitchen was great and the Le Saigon Vietnamese was awesome!
Very close to all transport options - a great weekender or three day holiday to explore shops, beach walk and eat well!

The room is clean and pleasant.
The room is clean and pleasant. We checked in late because of the 5 hours delay on the InterIslander ferry and could not actually enjoyed the room and the hotel's facilities. I called the hotel staff to inform them that we would be late and they accommodated with us. We eventually checked in at 11pm and had to catch a train at 7am...Everything was well and the check out was simple. Thank you staff at the counter.
