It felt like a home from home given the living area, tv and big bed - sheer luxury after a month backpacking 😂 Host was also very responsive and provided snacks/ coffee/ bottled water in the apartment with an honesty box to pay. This was a nice touch 😊 5 min walk of the main road and a selection of restaurants/ cafes too.

Mactan hat sich in den letzten Jahren zur einer wirklich tollen Destination entwickelt. Nicht nur für Leute mit dickem Geldbeutel sondern auch für einen Normalverdiener gibt es adäquate und schöne Unterkünfte und Restaurants. Wasser ist sauber und vielerlei Aktivitäten sind möglich.Leider sind die Strandzugänge überall kostenpflichtig wenn man in einer Privatunterkunft wohnt. Öffentlich Strände sind oft ein gutes Stück entfernt.

Die Resorts sind meistens hochklassig und ruhig. Es gibt auch günstige Uebernachtungen. Das Foodangebot ist gross. Mactan ist extrem stark bevölkert. Deshalb ist auch der Verkehr sehr gedrängt. Sicher gut für den kurzen Intensiv-Urlaub.

Sehr gutes Hotel, dass kaum Wünsche offen lässt. Frühstück gigantisch, Abendverpflegung in beiden Restaurantes sehr gut. Der Blick auf das Meer und die Hauptstadt von Cebu ist sehr einmalig. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich. Ein Bankomat befindet sich in der Empfangshalle. 2-3 mal in der Woche wird für Unterhaltung gesorgt (Musik, Vorführung). Wir waren sehr zufrieden.

Arm und Reich auf den Philippinen liegen oft sehr dicht beieinander, so auch auf Mactan, exklusive Resorts und Hotels befinden sich direkt neben Siedlungen sehr armer Menschen. Es empfiehlt sich nicht das Hotel zu Fuss zu verlassen um die Gegend zu erkunden.

Gut bei Ankunft/Abflug für Weiterreise, ansonsten nix besonderes (inkl. Cebu City). Ausserhalb der überteuerten Resorts ist vieles heruntergkommen. Zudem: Mactan ist der Ballermann für Koreaner - für die einen genau richtig, für andere eher nicht.
