Her homemade jam and muffins are delicious. No mold smell. Nice view. Banana orchard. The airport is close, but planes fly infrequently and we can't hear them.

Very warm & friendly welcome by our host family. They live just around the corner and are always easy to reach in case of questions. A nice place in the nature, just outside of Horta. The family has a big garden were they grow their own vegetables and fruit and keep their own chicken. Quiet place, shielded from the street and quiet even though it's close to the runway of the airport. But with so little air traffic it really does not matter. Nice to sit outside in the evening with a glass of wine. The apartment is big, clean, modern and furnished with taste, just renovated 1 year ago and in perfect condition.

Had an amazing stay. Not only are the rooms super comfortable and clean, the view of the ocean is amazing, the breakfast is lovely and the hosts are super nice! They have farmland, where they grow organic products and also a huuge and beautiful garden, which is just out of this world. Even a tunnel, which ends by the shore. The landing strip of the airport is very close by but it is not loud at all, since the airport is not very busy. It's rather entertaining watching the planes. Would visit Faial again just to spend more time at this place.

Set in Horta, Quinta da Maria offers air-conditioned accommodation with a patio and free WiFi. The property has mountain and garden views. If I could give a million stars I would. Genuinely. Beautiful house, the loveliest hosts I’ve ever met (and I stay in holiday rentals a lot), and the most beautiful views and grounds. Our daughter got to feed the goats and chickens and helped with the cows, and Lucia and Tony made pizza and cookies with us on our last night. I cannot thank them enough for their kindness and generosity. We had honey from the bees and delicious eggs from the hens, and fresh bread every day. Truly felt better than a home away from home - because we don’t live anywhere near as stunning a place :) Highly and fully recommended. Our daughter and we will be talking about this stay for all our years. Thank you Lucia and Tony! We arrived as guests and left as friends 💕

The gardens were beautiful, the room spacious and clean and comfortable. The owners were very friendly and accommodating and the breakfasts delicious and wholesome.

The Plantation Faial features sea views, free WiFi and free private parking, located in Feteira. This bed and breakfast provides a garden as well as a shared lounge. Guests can enjoy garden views. Wow, this new "Bed and Breakfast" was an extraordinary six night stay because of the people, facility and breakfasts. The owners were very personable, warm, and helpful. Their facility was very clean and tidy. The bed and bedding was luxurious. There were electrical receptacles near the bed for our phones. The shower has both a wand and large rain shower head with lots of hot water. The bathroom mirror was heated. There is a large common area with a refrigerator, a large table, dishes and cutlery for coffee/tea and quick snacks, a microwave and sofas. The veranda with our room was spacious for peaceful morning sun. The windows and doors have screens although there were no mosquitos. The WIFI was strong with a security password. Barbara's breakfasts were always fresh with tremendous variety. We loved the just-squeezed orange juice, eggs, pancakes, homemade spicy hummus and jams, Greek style yogurt, breads, pastry, fruit, cereals, herbal teas and cheese. We asked Andreas, our host many detailed questions about Faial and the Azores. He always took the time to explain the background, history and traditions that make the Azores a nature lover's superb outdoor destination. This personal touch added a lot of meaning to our visit. The location was quiet and only a 10 minute drive to the modern Continente grocery store or restaurants in Horta; and, 12 minutes to the airport.
