I arrived very early and a room was not ready but the lady at the front desk had me sit comfortably at the lobby and advised me as soon as one was available. I really appreciated that they allowed me to check in early as I was completely exhausted!

Very convenient to Wichita's airport without the mess of city driving. Goddard has a few restaurants, yet close enough to Wichita proper, for more options. The Tangayika Wild Life Park is its recent claim to fame, with Mars, the Pygmy Hippo, currently residing there. It's a great place to see different animals in a well-kept environment, with very knowlegable, caring keepers! Tangayika, and the water park attached to the new, and squeaky-clean Hampton Inn, elevates Goddard. Once only a bedroom community, it's a bonafide stay over option in the greater Wichta area!

I stayed for 3 nights and really enjoyed my stay. Located right off the Turnpike and easy to find. The room was clean and breakfast was good. They also are next to a Jump-start and close to the Kansas Star Casino.

The tub was super slick with no texture in the bottom. I slipped getting into the tub. Got several bruises and a huge knot on my leg. Even with warning my husband about how slick it was, he slipped too, but was at least hanging onto the grab bar. I went down to see if the front desk had an ice pack I could use and report it. They gave me a couple of those thin ice bucket liners to put some ice in, but did not seem interested in the fact that the tub was so slick I fell. He didn't document it either. When we checked out the next day, I told the girl at the front desk, and she did make a note for maintenance.
The whole incident raises red flags to me. Bathtub falls can be very dangerous. This is something that should be taken VERY seriously.
Other than the tub issue, the rest of the facility was above par.

This Hotel pricing was much cheaper than others in Park City KS. It was as clean as any hotel room. The staff offered to help me be more pleased with my stay if they could. You are not at home. This is a hotel. You can pay 200.00 a night, or 70.00 a night. You are still in a hotel room. So as long as the bedding is clean, bathroom facilities are clean, what more can a 70.00 a night hotel offer ? It isn't a spa salon.

The Cow Town Museum was beyond exceptional in quality of artifacts. I have a minor in history and teach Texas history which includes some of the topics that this museum included (Chisholm Trail-pioneers of the west-Native people of the U.S.). It was fascinating walking through the town and actually being able to go into all of the homes, businesses, and buildings. The shoot out was great too and I loved that the saloon served cold drinks. I've also been to the Pizza Hut museum and the one downtown that's historical as well (like an old house a few stories tall)??? Wichita (near the Country Club) was manicured and lovely. People are friendly too.

The location is right by the interstate on-ramp, so there was a selection of other hotel guests.
Be wary of the stairs to the second floor. They are concrete, but they do need some refurbishing as they are warped and can catch on your boots or shoes

Pet friendly. Got to see Karate Kid at Regal East and Gambino,s Pizza Rocks! The mattress was the best mattress I have ever slept on. I slept better on this mattress than the new one I just bought.... I want one! Best Rest I have had in awhile. Excellent Customer Service.

Staff hid out. Had to ring bell to get then out of wherever they were. Breakfast was a joke. Food and coffee ran out at 7:45 and when staff was notified, he only made coffee and brought out a half dozen cold biscuits, No refills on hot food. If a breakfast is important to travelers, I will advise them to not stay there. Room is adequate but bed and pillows are the hardest i have ever slept on. Grounds had trash in front of doors, Empty liquor bottle and cigarette box and butts and leaves.
