was not happy and would not recommend this place the place was dirty inside and outside was never told the pool would be closed and the breakfast area had a sign that said couldn't take food to the room and there wasn't enough places to sit and when I was checking in a customer come up and asked for more towels and the lady at counter asked why...why does it matter if she needs more towels and someone threw up out side the door to the side and it never got cleaned up oh ya and the vending machine was practically empty
I loved going to Lake Michigan to swim though
And won't let me leave the other pictures said they don't support item

Rooms were clean and comfortable.
Rooms were clean and comfortable. Bathroom had mirrors with shelves underneath that went around three sides of the room. We had no phone so no wake up call and couldn't complain to the desk about noisy people in the room next to us. They yelled and screamed and banged on the walls for two and a half hours. I am sure not everyone would encounter these people so anyone else's stay should be wonderful. Desk clerk was very nice. Close to shopping and food as well as the hospital which was the reason for our stay.

My fiance and I stayed here for 3 nights.
My fiance and I stayed here for 3 nights. The owner was a very pleasant woman. It appeared as though she was the only one, single employee. When she had errands to run, she came to me at my room and asked if I could keep an eye on the front desk for her while she was gone. She briefly went over the current prices of each room with me, gave me the keys to a vacant room to conduct business out of, and then she taped a sign to the front office window that read "Cash Only" on it. I was ready to go! She left shortly there after. Thankfully, I did not have one single customer while she was gone. As soon as she walked back into the door 3 new customers showed up wanting to rent rooms and the phone began to ring off the hook! Perfect timing!
The location is, alright. As, yes, it is very close to several local business.....it is located on an extremely busy road. Taking a nice leisurley walk across the street to pick up a gallon of Milk.......not an option! Unless you are prepared to play real life "Frogger" across 5 lanes of rush hour traffic!
Overall.....it was a pleasant experience. It wouldn't be my first choice of rooms by any means...but then again, it also would not be my last either! Oh, i forgot to mention that it is also Very clean!!!

Main reason we love Muskegon is that Michigan's Adventure is there!
Also, chilin on Lake Michigan at the Pere Marquette Beach is fun. They have a restaurant there called The Deck which is a great BBQ spot to eat at with lots of activities to engage in like table seats that are swings, many games for all to play with , etc.

Comfortable beds and courteous staff.
Comfortable beds and courteous staff. Didn't feel our bathroom was properly cleaned, the hotel restaurant was an absolute joke. Our room was suppose to be view of the water and only water view we had was the closed up pool.

One of our favorite places, hands down, but it can get VERY busy in summer. Off-season is great. Had dinner at Notos at Bil-Mar on the beach, as usual. Facility has been beautifully upgraded, but food quality - just ok. But the view...can't be beat. We love it, just for that. This is a quaint, historic town, so watch for numerous one-way streets and pedestrians, downtown and in beach area. Even so, we return as often as we can.

The room was dirty.
The room was dirty. The rugs made your feet turn black cockroaches the whole place smelled terrible no air in the Hallways at Check in the lobby. The only thing that was clean was where the Continental breakfast was there was mold on the ceiling of the bathroom. The only furniture in the Suite where the beds and small TVs on a dresser

This Hampton Inn is very close to some great shopping. It is a very easy 15 minute drive from downtown Muskegon, it's really a great place to stay. I highly recommend this hotel if you're traveling to the greater Muskegon area. There was some roadwork in the area, which caused a few delays.

Muskegon is a typical Michigan harbor town it has beaches, nice parks, shops, cafes, and restaurants. It has good entertainment and places to eat and drink in town, but its real attraction is outdoors activities. During the warmer months going to the beaches and paddling or boating the many waterways and the lakes is fun. Not to mention the inshore and offshore fishing. Numerous parks in the area provide hiking and biking as well as camping and picnicking. During the winter my favorite place is the Muskegon winter sports complex offering everything from sledding and ice skating to cross-country skiing and luge. A little off the beaten path Muskegon doesn't get the really big crowds some of the other beach towns get which makes it ideal for a relaxing stay.

Grateful for the Rib Fest and live music, otherwise it could have been done in a day. Couldn't make dinner reservations. I guess because it was a holiday weekend. Would have liked that rather than having to wait.
