This was a magical experience. The SUV had everything you need to travel and camp. Towels, bug spray, chairs etc. Shawn was super cool and answered all our questions and had everything organized and immaculate for us to head out on are excursion.

I like all the workers they did such a very awesome job. They gave me a very comfortable stay and they welcomed me like their guest and their 2nd Ohana..
Mr. Rommel & ms. Donna are so very helpful and whenever I have a problem they would always ask did you need any help I’m here along side with the crew to provide your needs during your stay.. Mr. Rey the chef every morning wow? He ask us if we want pancakes in the morning we wake up through a very delicious made breakfast fruits, coffee water & orange juice. (Free breakfast) nothing can go wrong with it. I give them a 5 star. Will come back for sure.. *sandy*

The hotel is very nice, it has a central pool overlooking the sea.
The rooms are spacious and clean, offering coffee, tea, beach towels, personal care products (soap, shampoo, conditioner, body lotion).
There is a restaurant right next to it, serving good local dishes, where you get 10% off your bill as hotel guests.
There is a parking lot in front of the hotel entrance, for $10/day (+taxes).
The staff is very nice and keen to accommodate your requests. We were there on our honeymoon and they set up the room very nicely.
The location is very close to the airport, yet is a very curated hotel. Overall a bit expensive, but aligned to the high prices of Maui.

Beautiful beach town that provides a very pleasant even if touristy insight to Maui living though not truly local. The dining options are great as well as shops but it's more-so made up of Californians selling art than it is of Maui born & bred locals. Neither a positive nor a negative, Paia is a perfect beach town to switch off in but if you're looking for a true Maui experience it may not be the most adventurous though it is beautiful, friendly, vibrant and can be incredible for beach wildlife spotting.

Wailuku, especially staying in Maalaea is so central to all of Maui. It sits almost on the intersection of each of main roads of the island, 10 mins into down town Wailuku, 10 mins to Kihei, 10 mins to the airport, 20 mins to Paia, or Lahaina, or Wailea. Everywhere is close while Wailuku has much to offer by itself.
The pub in Maalaea is great for casual dining while taking in a high position view over the marina, the ocean and Haleakala. The Mill (5mins away) has a wonderful restaurant, fantastic menu and very relaxing location. This is a favorite of ours.

Haiku was quiet, peaceful, much more local feel; The total opposite feel of Kaanapali, which is much busier and more touristy. [We stayed in both areas during our trip.] Near Haiku there are local thrift shops, weekly markets (Swap Meet), and you are surrounded by nature. The weather was fine too. Not too rainy (as was forewarned on multiple sites).

Makawao has its own tequila distillery, some great shops and restaurants, and from locals all over the island, its own great yoga studio (although I didn’t try it myself). There is also a wonderful county park property, with great running, hiking, and mountain biking trails. I could spend a long time in this part of the island. Highly recommend!

So MANY things to do on southwest part of Maui. Can go south from Kihei and go snorkeling at several places.
Take a trip out to Molokini, go to the top of Volcano and even did the road to Hana.
Lots of food choices near and in Kihei and groceries too.
Great location, will stay in that area again,

The hotel was on the Kahului Harbor with a lovely sandy beach to walk on. There were a number of sail boarders in the harbor, we did swim but found out later the harbor is full of sharks... This hotel is very close to beach enjoyed by locals with sail boarding, wind surfing etc. etc.
We stayed there due to the proximity to airport and free shuttle, although the shuttle shut down prior to our arrival at 10:00 p.m. so could not take advantage on arrival. Close to mall and a number of places to eat.

Nice selection of shops and a few good restaurants. Shops all close at 6 pm. More breakfast places would be nice. Parking can be challenging. I did enjoy the town but I probably will not return to Paia. It was more crowded than expected.

Our Lauloa Condo is on Hauoli Street and it's actually in Ma'alaea, a suburb of Wailuku, and about 7 miles from downtown.
Downtown Wailuku is pretty-much "local territory" as it does not have the sunny side and beaches of either Kihei or Lahaina OR Ma'alaea. See our review of Lauloa 303 Condo for more on why we choose Ma'alaea whenever we can OR nearby Kihei - both are more affordable than Wailea or Makena (where the 5**** resorts are) and closer to the rest of Maui than Kana'apali up from Lahaina.
In Wailuku proper, do not miss the Kaahumanu Church, Baldwin Museum on Hawaii's colorful colonial history OR a visit to Io Needle Monument park - an historic sacred native Hawaiian site with gorgeous scenery, waterfalls, lush tropical greenery plus several nature trails to enjoy.

What a cute little town that made it easy for us when we needed to leave Maui to head to the airport at the tail end of our trip. We liked this location if you decide to do Road to Hana or the summit of Haleakala. This made it so much easier to get on the road early.

The location is excellent, just less than 10 mins from the OGG airport. Near food trucks and some establishments. The beach and pool view from the hallway is really nice.

We booked this property when our flight back to the mainland was cancelled. The location was great- beach front, close to the airport. We appreciated the free shuttle which was handy as we had already turned in our rental car.
They have a designated “hospitality room” which you can use post-checkout to change, freshen up, or even grab a quick shower before you head to the airport. The pool area and grounds were beautiful and the staff were top notch!
We would definitely book this hotel again if we need a spot close to OGG.
