The room was large and comfortable, the breakfast was included and pretty good for a free breakfast, waffles and eggs were great, and the pool and jakuzzi also a nice touch.

Very nice place for the price. Good location you could even walk to town if you wanted. Could have more for food but was good with what they had. Pool was huge. Over all a really really nice place. Very happy with our stay

Loved the location for going skiing at Boyne Highlands and...

Loved the location for going skiing at Boyne Highlands and Nubs Nob. Went for dinner at Hoppies at the airport with a great experience for the kids to see all the nature displays. Another night we went up to Mackinac City for dinner at Dixie Saloon / O'Rileys was great food and service. (The front desk made the suggestions)

Excellent resort on a beautiful property.

Excellent resort on a beautiful property. Lots of free additional pleasures like coco with whip cream and cinnamon, coffee, water, tea beautifully presented and displayed. Loft with family games, pole table, large screen tv. The pool and hot tub were well kept. Design of the facility has so many extra touches! The boat house has Cody chairs and chandeliers, docks, swing by the water, kayaks, row boat, trails lighted by strands of Xmas lights…. So much to do!

A Hidden Gem in Northern Michigan Carp Lake is a quiet, scenic destination that feels like a step back in time — peaceful, welcoming, and surrounded by natural beauty. It’s the kind of place where time slows down, perfect for a relaxing escape from the hustle and bustle. The lake itself is calm and clean, great for fishing, kayaking, and swimming. It’s not overly developed or crowded, which makes it ideal if you’re looking for privacy and a true "up north" Michigan experience. The surrounding woods add to the charm, offering beautiful trails, wildlife sightings, and that fresh pine air you can’t find in the city. There aren’t a ton of restaurants or shops nearby, but that’s part of the appeal — the local general store has the basics, and Mackinaw City is just a short drive away if you want more activity. If you love nature, lake life, and small-town charm, Carp Lake is a place you’ll want to keep coming back to.

Alanson is a small village on the main highway about 20 minutes' drive north of Petoskey. There is not much there except a few small shops. The main attraction, in my opinion, in the Crooked River. Although pleasant, it is not a tourist destination by itself, but is part of a very pleasant part of northwestern Michigan.

Small community 7 minutes south of Mackinaw City.

Small community 7 minutes south of Mackinaw City. Save your money and stay here. The local restaurant serves homemade food and is amazing, the resort is top notch, the lake is gorgeous. So happy I found this resort and community.
