The village is centred on a large lake and is sometimes better known by the ski resort name, Ylläs. Staff was great and the guy at the receptionnwent out of his way to accomodate us.

Boasting a sauna, Hotel Lost In Ylläs is situated in Äkäslompolo. There is a private entrance at the aparthotel for the convenience of those who stay. There is a sun terrace and guests can make use of free WiFi and free private parking. Great hotel, comfortable and cosy. The staff where the very best, love them.

In the popular ski resort of Ylläs, LostStar Apartments offers modern apartments with private saunas just a kilometre from the centre of Äkäslompolo village. Skiing and hiking tracks start 50m from the hostel and private parking is available with car heaters. Very good location, next to the cross-country tracks. About 1 km to the shop/centre. It was, what we expected - tiny and clean accomodation, with basic equipment, sauna, kitchen. For 4 nights super. We wanted extend for whole week, but it was fully booked. We recomend it.
