The space was absolutely beautiful. An oasis in a very busy city. The design was amazing but it was also very comfortable with great services and amenities. The staff were great.

Private parking is available on site. The aparthotel features family rooms and facilities for disabled guests. Apartment was very comfortable, spacious, and well-maintained. Walkable distance from the Ribeira area with all the touristy locations. Even though I arrived past check-in time, the staff helped me get into the apartment with no issues.

Every unit comes with a coffee machine, a flat-screen TV and free WiFi, while certain rooms are fitted with a terrace and some have pool views. At the aparthotel, all units are equipped with bed linen and towels. The apartments are beautiful, better than the photos. We had one of the ones with a balcony which had a nice view and where we enjoyed some wonderful sunsets. The apartments are spacious, clean, well planned and comfortable. The pool and other facilities are also first class. We were always able to get a sun bed and there were always plenty of towels available. We have never had a better quality apartment and I would enthusiastically recommend Vila Santa Catarina to others including anyone looking for a long stay rental. The only thing I would mention is that the walk up from the town is uphill. We are both in our seventies and managed this most days but we also took the subway from the centre to Marqués station from where you have a five minute walk downhill. (The number 4 line from Marqués goes direct to Gaia) Breakfast was a very pleasant surprise, beautifully presented with a great selection that varied daily. It was delivered to the room at 8 and we were able to enjoy it either on the balcony or indoors. Much more relaxed than a hotel buffet and easier than making ourselves. Finally I must mention how wonderful and friendly all the staff are. Really the cherry on the cake.

You had your own space and privacy as well as the opportunity to meet others in the common spaces!! The staff were very accommodating and kind!! The place as a whole had a very happy aura to it!!

Breakfast is provided in a basket every morning. There is also a kitchenette, fitted with a microwave and refrigerator. A stovetop and coffee machine are also offered. In the vicinity guests will find plenty of restaurants by the Douro River serving local cuisine. Our stay was more than excpected. Metro is just near by and if you like to go to down part of the town it's just across the bridge. Breakfast is tasty, we used iron, room was cleaned every day and the staff is so polite and friendly. We loved our stay.
