It's very hard to find this little apt which is in the interior of a city block behind a hidded door next to the take out patisserie that opens at 7am. There are no glass windows, and I stayed the first night of Hurricane Eric which meant the rain blew though the screens. (No big deal). A mosquito or two wanted to eat me in.a long meal that lasted all night, but mosquitos are a fact of life. This is a very nice, very comfortable spot. Probably the best single room I've ever rented on 3 or 4 continents. enjoy!

I stayed at the apartment with sea view that had the plunge pool in the front. It was great. It was up from the main hotel, but I liked the exclusion. For those that complained that the pool wasn't private enough, you're in Zipolite... When I arrived, I messaged them via Whatsapp and someone came immediately and walked me up the hill to the property and gave me the key. All communication was through Whatsapp, which I didn't mind because it actually helped to eliminate some language barriers with some of the local staff. Sometimes there is automated responses via chatbot, but they were helpful as well. Prior to my stay, I even messaged them to ask about transportation from the airport to there, and they gave me the name and number of a taxi service. That worked out great. When the plane arrived, they were waiting for me. I figured that was easier than communicating with a taxi driver outside the airport and taking any chances. Bonus was that there was a small cooler in the room and someone left a bag of ice in the freezer, so I put ice in the cooler and stopped at the store for drinks on the way to the beach each day. It worked out great. On the weekends, the beach area can be a little noisy, so this is just a 5 minute walk away, but it's far enough to keep you away from the noise.

The host, Monica, was very friendly. She was helpful in giving us information about the area since it was our first time. The apartment was clean, and we had everything we needed-plenty of towels, tableware, and sheets. The apartment had plenty of space for the five of us. This place is a short walk to Santa Cruz beach. This was a great place to stay.
