First of all, the hosts! We were greeted by Ismael with a small bottle of port wine and pastel de nata. He was very friendly and showed us multiple places to visit in the city. Always quick to respond, he even offered to pick us up from the train station and to bring us back (free of charge). Great hosts, no complaints whatsoever. The accommodation itself is great too: it has everything you need and is in a quiet street with view on the river. The kitchen has not too much equipment but everything necessary is available. Located at the 'border' of the old-town, the university campus is a short (but steep) 10-minutes walk away. All in all a great place to stay and should we ever return to Coimbra, we will be sure to come back to this accommodation.
