A few notes that may be helpful: - If entering at night, have a torch or your mobile handy as the nearest light switch to the door is quite a way in. - Note the wifi code before you go in as our GSM signal was weak inside and so you need the wifi (thick walls!) - The smaller room with a single bed gives off one of the doubles and there is no door or closing. - There is another gite above (with its own entrance) so don’t be surprised if you hear movement upstairs - Remember some change for the tourist tax

It was a beautiful surprise to find such comfort and beauty behind a less than beautiful exterior. We loved the decor and the feel of the place and I was so grab for a piece of fresh fruit and my husband reluctantly accepted the beer- not believing he wasn’t going to be charged a whole lot extra for it. We didn’t get to meet the host but for only one night this was not necessary and the key pick up etc was very obvious and simple to follow. We also loved our pizza at the pizzeria below! Double bonus!

One of my favorite Booking.com stays out of over 50 apartments! Talk about good value! It is steps from the heart of Troyes and has easy and inexpensive overnight street parking. The two bedrooms are spacious, super comfortable and have their own bathrooms. The owners had water in the fridge, complimentary chocolates on the beds, and a bottle of complimentary sparkling juice. This is a true gem!
