The apartment has a picnic area where you can spend a day out in the open. We stayed there twice, one night at each end of our two-week holiday in Donegal. We found it a great place to spend our first night after a long flight to Dublin airport (which isn't too far away) and also for finishing off our trip in beautiful and relaxing surroundings. On previous trips to Ireland we'd stayed at other places in County Meath on our first and last nights and they had all been really good but Rathgillen Cabin has become our favourite. Peter, the host, is a very friendly and welcoming fella so we's love it if he'd come to stay with us at our home in Bulgaria some time. And the village has a handy shop, a great pub and a wonderful cafe where we had our final breakfast befor heading home. We were also delighted to discover that Nobber was the birthplace of the 17th Century blind harpist. Turlough O' Carolan whose music we've loved for a long time.

We met Nick as soon as we arrived and were given a tour of the property. It was perfect for us as we were in Slane for a wedding. Nick offered to drive us to the wedding as well as the get-together the night before. That was such a kind offer ! We just stayed the night, but we will be back.. Nick and Sandra left us a basket of breakfast / treat items, including eggs. This was very much appreciated and a total surprise. The apartment was cozy, clean, and comfortable. It was super easy to get to from the directions and once there, Adrienne was the most fabulous host, went above and beyond to meet every need! Could honestly not have asked for a better stay away.
