Äußerst nette Gastgeber, sehr gemütlich, Küche toll ausgestattet, einfach ein Studio mit Wohlfühlfaktor. Hier ließe es sich auch super mehrere Tage aushalten, leider haben wir nur die letzte Nacht vor unserem Heimflug hier verbracht. Wir kommen wieder! :)

It's a spacious apartment, only a short drive from the airport, walking distance into town and close to supermarkets. 45 min drive to Reykjavik and lots of scenic excursions are a short drive away. Approx 30 mins to see the Bridge Between Continents, the lava pools, volcano 2hour drive to Geysir. 1.5 hours to Selfoss and 3hours to Vik. The apartment is an excellent base of operations:) The beds are very comfortable, sauna and outdoor hot tub are amazing. Plenty of towels. The music surround system is very cool. The apartment feels safe and secure. The washing machine and drier are decent so i'd recommend staying for at least a week and packing light and just do laundry as required. Actually, our clothes dried on the radiators in the gym so didn't need the drier. Fernando's is a good local place to order tasty pizza from. General tip: There is a car hire place in Keflavik so you if you're tired from your flight, you could just use the free shuttle to the apartment then sort out car hire later. If you do hire a car at the airport, I'd recommend using Europacar, Hertz or Avis as they have desks at the airport. There are few other places that operate out of a unit 10 mins from the airport and it was a bit of a faff getting shuttled there, sorting out paperwork (which we had to input all our details again even though we had prebooked) and having to drop the car back at 4am for our 6.30am flight. We've hired a car 3 times in Iceland and still find the process a bit murky as there are a lot of different comparison sites and companies who are agents for different car hire companies but they seem to share a pool of cars!

The place is very clean looks very nice, exactly the same as the photo they post. the owner meet us show us how to use the facility.

41 km von The Pearl entfernt gelegen, bietet die Unterkunft Cozy 3 bedroom house near the Blue lagoon Übernachtungsmöglichkeiten in Njarðvík mit Zugang zu einem Whirlpool. great location, near the blue lagoon and the airport. kitchen was great, had everything we needed and more! there was a rice cooker which was a wonderful surprise. rooms were lovely and comfy, the living area was beautiful. the inside of the house is beautiful.

The bed was comfy and warm with comforters. Two of the walls are are ceiling to floor, beautiful windows with drapes to pull close for complete privacy. Best of all the windows, face due north in the corner where the two windows meet. It was super rainy and cloudy when I was there, but I’m pretty sure you could catch northern lights easily from the comfort of your room, technically from your bed. The place is located in town for access to everything, but, it faces the oceanfront walking path is right outside your door. During the day you have a 180 unobstructed view of the ocean. Helena and her husband are phenomenal. They responded quickly to my questions, even came down to show me where the outlets were located. Stupid me didn’t bend over enough to see them. The place is all updated inside. There’s a wonderful kitchen that I was not able to take advantage of, but it was modern, as was the bathroom. If you prefer to cook, it’s fully assembled. It’s a bottom level apartment that is very private. And, I don’t mean bottom level as in basement. Far from it. The home is built on the top of a hill, so that room is about 12 feet above the walking path. So you have a great view. The home is located on a cul-de-sac, so there is no traffic noise whatsoever. I cannot say enough about my gorgeous little fortress of solitude that I stumbled upon. Thanks so much for the hospitality. Loved the little local information cards were put into picture frames. So cute. A++++++. If you’re thinking of staying in Keflavík and you don’t stay here you’ll kick yourself. Definitely a “hidden gem”
