We went into an izakaya and the staff were very accommodating to us even though neither of us understood the other. If you are visiting cat island it's also located very close to the port and is also close to the train station. Overall from the moment we got there we wish we had more time to spend in ishinomaki just so we could stay at this home.

Between busses and walking we were able to get around Sendai pretty easily. Food, museums, and shopping locations were all along the walk from the station so we were happy campers. The beds were comfy enough and the living room was bigger than we expected. The comforters on the bed were awesome and kept us so warm that some rooms didn't even need to have the heaters on while we slept even though it was so cold outside. We paid roughly $30 a night per person which we thought was extremely fair. I'd definitely stay here again. The hosts were also quick to respond to questions I had before our check-in date.
