Upon arrival we had high hopes for the week long stay we booked for our family. The cottages themselves are lovely. But the rest of our stay was a disaster.

Sehr moderne, super zentrale Unterkunft. Das Bett ist sehr bequem und die Wohnung hat alles was man braucht. Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen und uns sehr wohl gefühlt. We cycled into town just before the storm hit. We were allowed to park our precious touring bikes inside the apartment where they were safe and dry. My favorite part of the stay was the loving care given to the apartment by Maria. Ironed and perfumed sheets, kitchen and bath towels, tablecloths, and napkins. Lace doilies on all surfaces like my grandmother used to crochet, An enormous gift basket of fresh oranges, walnuts, pears apples, and bananas. We stayed three days and it rained the whole time, so I made use of the best-stocked kitchen I’ve seen since I left home five years ago. I made banana bread and apple crisp with the fruit. Soups and casseroles. We washed all our smelly cycling clothes in the washing machine provided. Three balconies allowed us to have coffee with the sunrise on one side and happy hour sunset on the other. There was a bathtub to read and relax in during the bad weather. Bubble bath, candles, and Portuguese wine. What more can you ask for? I can‘t tell you what the town looked like because we never left the apartment. Maria was kind, communicative, and personable. She met us at the apartment and showed us around, something that happened rarely during our stay in Portugal. Lastly, the price was an absolute steal. We felt spoiled rotten!

I had such a perfect stay at Almoura Ladeira! I requested an earler check-in and Catia (the host) kindly allowed it. The place was very easy to find and super central to all Evora sightseeing spots. There's a lovely local grocery shop nearby (with a kind owner and delicious fresh-baked croissants ~) and many local restaurants around. The apartment was super comfy (a perfect size for one person or a couple) with new furniture and fully equipped modern kitchen. Catia even explained to me how to use the stove (a brand new one!) over the phone. I would definitely love to come back and stay here again! Thank you, Catia! Thank you, Evora!

Casa da Serpa Pinto was a perfect stay. The apartment had ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING - a fully stocked kitchen, lots of space, laundry facilities with soap and even umbrellas. The host runs an Ice Cream shop below the apartment and was available for help and any questions that we had. The apartment is an easy 5 minute walk to the main square and a multitude of restaurants. Highly recommend!
