We loved it all😉👏wish we could stay longer.The appartment is beautifully decorated and we had everything that we needed. The veranda outside was a bonus with a beautiful view. Very close to the castle with some good restaurants, we went there during daytime and again for dinner.

Very spacious apartment with full kitchen, bath, bedroom, AND washing machine (and clothes pins). Beautifully decorated in a quiet neighborhood. Bed and pillows very comfortable and slept well. Heating unit worked well. Free, easy parking on street in front of B&B. Host/hostess not on sight (used lockbox to enter) but very responsive on App. Highly recommend, wish we could have stayed longer as was so comfortable/nice. Would stay again.

I am travelling throughout Portugal and staying at many places. This accommodation more than exceeded my expectations. The Casa Guardiao has teal historical relevance, that fact in itself made it a privilege to stay here. However once inside, my breath was completely taken away with the standard of everything. Not only that, the view from my kitchen was something else. I have travelled to Africa and Asia where excellent accommodation isn't too expensive, but this really was another level for me. Understandably people who are considering staying here may be sceptical of my review due to the praise I give.. I'm confident my review will be one of many. Visitors to the area should consider visiting the Roman Spa museum. It's free and is amazing.. Unfortunately the hot springs were closing for lunch, so I didn't get the chance to visit.

An absolutely fantastic experience! The hosts that make you feel like you are their family. Amazing set of local snacks as a compliment on the arrival, port wine and a bottle of their red wine, incredible! The apartment itself is huuge and has everything and more than you can expect! Vitor and his lovely wife even gave us their warm clothes since we were too silly and mixed the weather, Vitor gave us a lift to a lovely restaurant close by where we had amazing dinner! I could go on and on and on. Absolutely highlight of our travels in Portugal! Me & mom were very happy! And the hostess gave us a lovely handmade present when we were leaving! I mean, they are fantastic! Thanks so mch!!!

Had everything we needed, including a washing machine. Spacious, quiet apartment. Host provided us with his sons number as host had little English and we had little Portuguese.
