There is something very special at Casa Terra. From the moment you walk in you can tell the hostel is about the people, from how the owners share their whole selves in adding art and creating spaces for community, to how they are constantly interested and know about their guests and connecting them to the Samara community. The passion of the owners is palpable. The owners are all deeply experienced in hostels; the rooms and bathrooms were spotless, and the people and vibes are immaculate. It is far away from town to feel secluded and make incredible connections in a peaceful environment (people do not feel a need to be on their phones) while still a short walk (10 mins) to enjoy Samara. The sunsets shared as a hostel are wonderful and drive an immediate sense of community too. For those who want peace and community, this is your place. Xavi the host gave us such a warm welcome to his beautiful spot. A well equipped gorgeous cabin surrounded by a beautiful garden with a pool and laundry. Xavi was very helpful and showed our children the local monkeys. Best bit is that the profits go to the tree charity.

Beautiful little oasis tucked away from the main area of town but an easy walk to the beach, shops and restaurants.JP is such a nice man and a fabulous host. Clean, beautifully done rooms and a lovely common area around the pool. We saw a family of monkeys beside us in the trees on our last afternoon.

Loved staying here- a quiet little oasis close to the beach, shops and restaurants. Really safe and run by a lovely couple who make you feel very welcome and at home. Fab for solo travellers, and very clean and comfortable! One of my favourite spots on my trip.

This place is amazing, it's a nice place to relax and has all the advantages to enjoy the vacation! Beside the place itself the staff is outstanding. Especially Peque went above and beyond! His skills for breakfast are superb and he provided us many recommendations for lovely and calm places around Sámara. And to top all of this, his friendly and sympathetic manner made us feel very welcomed at this place! Thanks for everything Peque!

Gorgeous, peaceful tropical gardens - we saw howler monkeys, coatis and iguanas while relaxing in the hammock outside our bungalow. Private plunge pool was great for cooling off and the main pool was lovely and quiet. Bungalow was well equipped for self catering, you can also get a great breakfast at the hotel (extra cost). We loved Samara - perfect waves for learning to surf, loads of fab restaurants and a great relaxed vibe.

Beautiful place with lovely garden between forest and ocean. Rooms are very spacious. it is a 5 minutes drive from Samara center. the hotel has a good restaurant with fair prices, dinner was delicious.
