Posada Don Julio is a fantastic place to stay, offering breathtaking views of the lake. The house is practically on the water, creating a serene and unique atmosphere. The family running the posada is incredibly welcoming and helpful, making the experience even more enjoyable. It’s important to note that the house is not located in Flores itself but on the opposite side of the lake. To get there, you’ll need to take a small local boat that runs every five minutes for just 10Q. This adds an extra touch of charm and adventure to your stay. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. While the WiFi is typical for Guatemala—not very strong—it’s enough for basic needs around 5-6 Mbps Overall, it’s a wonderful experience for those looking to immerse themselves in the tranquility of the lake and the warmth of local hospitality. Highly recommended!

The location right on the lake is breathtaking! The patio right on the water with the hammocks is the perfect place to relax and dip in the lake. The host was always so available for anything and went above and beyond to make our stay special!

Mayan Spirit is in a stunning location. You can swim in the lake right in front of your cabin and it’s a beautiful spot to watch the sunrise. The staff are very friendly and quick to assist you. Kev the boat driver is incredibly quick to respond and very helpful! He’ll get you to and from the island within 2 minutes.

The hotel location is on the island with a picture post-card view. The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. I wish that I was able to stay here longer.

Nice hotel on the coast of Peten Itza lake. Location is good, within walking distance to Flores town center. Stuff was polite and helpful, WiFi was working well. Food was good. Overall, it is a good place to stay in Flores.
